Use with an A2 is HUGE. More companies need to take that step. If I could leave an A2 on every rifle, I have instead of needing a proprietary mounting surface depending on the suppressor I wanted to use, that’s exactly what I would do.
There are a couple of issues with that. Crush washers and A2s aren't necessarily going to have perfect coalignment nor necessarily be a sturdy enough mounting solution to keep the suppressor firmly affixed to the rifle. While it *can* be a sufficient solution, you do have to design the suppressor around the potential issues A2's may present, which likely means making sacrifices somewhere along the line compared to just designing it to work with a muzzle device you can guarantee is properly machined and firmly mounted.
@@Echo_Charlie That isn't really what Keter is talking about. He is referring to people who will think they can use this on their pre-installed A2 when the armorer didn't know it would later be used as a muzzle device for a can....so they used a crush washer.
If suppressors weren’t NFA items, the demand would be even higher than it already is, new manufacturing methods would drive costs down to the point suppressors would cost $100-$200 if not less. Suppressors need to be removed from the NFA. Actually the entire NFA needs to be abolished because it is unconstitutional but that’s a whole other conversation.
I’d like to see Mar-M or Inconel or Monel used. These metals are used in exhaust housings in jet turbines along with inside rocket parts specifically the combustion and post combustion chambers.
@RadDadisRad have you seen the energetic armament vox? It's C300 Maraging nickel cobalt superalloy. Stronger at 1000°F than titanium is at room temperature
I sure picked an interesting time to get into suppressors. My head is spinning with the innovation, tech, and science of it all which seems to be changing and evolving more quickly now than ever before. If anyone out there knows a good source that gives a nice overview of where this industry has been, where it is at and what to expect over the next few years... please point me to it.
Guy said it's more expensive than the rotax (s/c) suppressor so good luck with lowering the price. Companies have to pay for the equipment cost before the price will ever drop.
I'm looking forward to seeing a surefire hub on the market, even though my next 5.56 can will be one of the RBS's with the mount built in. B&T continues to drop dope products.
Pretty much anything seems to perform better than the RC3. (I don't have one, but not impressed with the reviews and neither are the non-paid reviewers)
@@acgrand2553 Yeah, the Rotex series for sure has a few that mount to the A2 flash hider. Rotex X with the A2 flash hider mount is a good can for like $650 (not the lightest can though at like 24 oz).
… so a Hub mount for a Surefire muzzle device… does that mean I can buy their mount to put on the bottom of a thunder chicken to have on a Surefire flash hider??
I got the 13.9 MOD 2 UIC battleworn green, pin and welded surefire warcomp, criterion barrel 223 wylde. Eotech red hologram, Geissele trigger, Radian Raptor charging handle, magpul mbus 2 irons for cowitness, magpul 2-1 sling, BCM angled hand stop, streamlight flashlight with pressure pad, and BCM railcovers in black. 16 " OAL. NEXT will be a B&T suppressor with adapter to fit the Surefire warcomp. You can't go wrong with ADM. Do you plan on going with any rifles vs. AR pistols? I have 2 Caniks for hand guns, Rival Darkside for home defense, and the Mete SF for edc. ADM had it all out the box. I wish it came with irons for the price.
I understood some of these words 🤷♂️ Speaking as just another dumbass civilian trapped behind enemy lines in Commiefornia, I really wish there was a "Everything To Know About Silencers in 2024" video. There appears to be some kind of Apple versus Android holy war going on with suppressor mounts? I see screw-on, three lug, that clicky-connect one... not sure what else? And obligatory "fuck the ATF." Why is it easier to get a silencer in England than in America? In Britain it's considered RUDE to not use a silencer when hunting!
Hi so yeah. I am not smort or nothing but each manufacturer has its own mount. I love my rearden stuff for cost and weight savings, (it is a simple taper mount with the threads behind the taper) and sure fire is another titan in the industry as well as keymo. But when they say hub it just means that the back of the can has 1.375x24 threads so you can adapt it to whatever you want to use. Meaning that my DD upper with a pinned and welded rearden flash hider can use a B&T can. Three lug is a mostly pistol caliber carbine thing, and the click connect I dunno. But back to the hub thing. IT is cool because I own aero, otter creek and dead air cans, but all of them are on rearden mounts. Another Apple vs android war that is currently going on is the flow through (Huxwurx and similar) VS traditional baffle stack cans and the host for them. Flow cans are less gas, but they light up like a spot light on thermal and IR vs traditional cans but traditional cans are generally speaking slightly quieter and also less likely to flash. I hope this helps!

B&T's Rotex cans have had the A2 mount option for a while. It's pretty slick if you have a lot of firearms you want to swap the can between.

@@KeterMalkuth You don't use crush washers to mount A2 flash hiders acting as suppressor mounts, you use shims just like any other suppressor mount.
There are already hub adapters available for A2 devices. I know that Griffin Armament makes 2 hub adapters that I know of for sure.

They’d be $300-$500 for titanium and superalloy models with stainless versions at $100-$200

The chinese "oil filters" that may or may not be ATF traps are $50. Those would be simple consumables. Anything above would be a premium can.
@RadDadisRad have you seen the energetic armament vox? It's C300 Maraging nickel cobalt superalloy. Stronger at 1000°F than titanium is at room temperature
I could see prices dropping dramatically even if just the waiting period goes away

Ultimately though, the big innovation recently has been making flow through suppressors that perform similarly to traditional baffle cans.
You picked a good time to get into cans approvals are good times
Love that matte look, hoping this will bring the prices down.

You sure you're watching the same channel as us? lol
3D printing technology is amazing.
Stl?
We need to repeal the NFA already.
Can you do a review on the FTN 3. 3D printed suppressor? Absolutely nuts from what I've seen on the internet.
Fantastic! When y'all get one of these for review- I'll be watching intently to see how it stacks against a RC3!

a great very interesting neat and delicious video Mr James.have a good one.
What happened to the striker fired pistol from B&T? I think it was called the USW-P?
When are they coming out? My dealer already tried to order me one and had no luck.
Griffin Armament already has a great gate lok hub mount for A2 flash hiders.
Their plan worked perfectly. Nothing is in stock anywhere. Good job guys.
Can’t wait to get one of those
Direct mount to an A2 birdcage kinda changes things....lol
B&T has had suppressors that mount to the A2 flash hider for years.
@@Echo_Charlie I did not know they did was news to me...

Doesn’t Griffin make one that is A2 compatible too? I don’t think hub compatible though
Wow surefire compatible? First I'm hearing of this "hub" system as well. I'm really interested if they're cheaper than surefire supressors.
Yup. This is gonna happen.

Very informative James , Chris in other video is really sharp !!! Thanks 💥💥🔫from Commy Ct.🇺🇸
I like that shirt James is wearing. Anyone know what brand it is?
B&T dunking on everyone! How amazing would a hun that accepts an A2!?!
finally hub!!
Is B&T the only company making a suppressor mount for the standard nato A2 birdcage?
If so…why? Birdcages are literally stock on 95% of rack AR15’s
SHE'S GOT A MEAN STREAK! 🎸🎸🎸
OH, you said B&T. Not Y&T. Got it.
the titanium supressors are not yet out in Europe. Hopefully January 25
