Don Balòn voted him as the best player. Beckenbauer: "Pele was the best in the 60s, Cruyff in the 70s, Maradona in the 80s and Laudrup in the 90s" Roberto Galia: I played against Maradona, Platini and Baggio, but the player capable of the most incredible skills was Michael Laudrup" "I dont remember he being good equally with both feet" well I do! And if you don't believe me, just watch some of the videos made by llaauuddrruupp. Laudrup is one of the best playmakers ever to grace the game...
Maradona was overweight in this game and surrounded by defenders whenever he touched the ball. In an interview recently, Laudrup has said that Maradona was the best player he has ever seen in this lifetime by miles.
Rivaldo, Romario and your own hero. If Laudrup had used cocaine, scored with his hand or showed violent behaviour instead of being a decent person, he would draw more attention to himself and people would start to know more about him and his qualities as a football player
grande laudrup con platini e giordano e stato uno dei piu grandi giocatori in circolazione...uno dei piu grandi fenomeni nella storia della lazio@1983 1987
now, as an argentinian who is fan of maradona I can say, this is FAIR COMPARISON, I hate when people compare Diego with messi or c. ronaldo. But Platini and Laudrup where true elite, 86 world cup was the last great wc, with exception of 2002.. Zico, and Socrates should be mentioned too. I feel the obligation to stand up when I mention socrates, what a player... I'm sure brazil fans feel the same when somebody compares a beast like Zico with Neymar.. not that neymar is bad.. but it´s not the same
+nicolasaeg I totally agree with you! Platini, Maradona, Zico were players and men. And what about Falcao? Scirea also was a champion, he never received a yellow or a red.
Maradona would be a great left back. He was a bit lazy in this game. Platini didn't had a great influence on the game. Laudrup was fantastic in the first half. Great footage, thank you!
I can understand that. Laudrup had his peak at Barcelona. Then after played for Real Madrid. He was brilliant, better than anyone i see today... But Maradona was way better. However his years in Spain were affected 1st by Hepatitis, then by that bastard Goigotchea ( who broke his leg ) and lastly by the fight against Bilbao, when he wanted his revenge against him.
Maradona was a superb player but Laudrup had the ability of using both of his feeth, which in it self makes him a better player. In my opinion, Laudrup had the wrong nationality to be considered the best player ever. If Laudrup had been brazilian or argentinian, there is no doubt in my mind that people would show a greater interest for him
Btw, When Laudrup was said to be the best since 1974 That includes OVER Johan Cruyff, Bernd Schuster, Maradona, Allan Simonsen Who all was chosen as the best player.
I did watch Laudrup play. I dont remember he being good equally with both feet. I repeat, with the maximal excellence of it, like Pelé or Brehme. Maradona was good with the head, even being short. He gave passes and scored some goals. The problem is he was never on the box to score. He was always too busy assisting his mediocre teammates. Voted by who? So be neutral, be impartial, watch some videos of other players and dont get in a discussion saying all this nonsense.
Robson1898vascao The definition of neutral is subjective, I dont get the point.. Laudrup actually has more goals and a better goals to game ratio than Zidane.
Interesting. In the past three years Platini has overwhelmingly won the Ballon d'Or each and every year, been the capocannoniere (Serie A top goalscorer) each and every year and was doing almost nothing during this match.
Yeah, but you didnt say anything about being different or not. The only thing you said was ''had the ability of using both of his feeth, which in it self makes him a better player.'' But i could use tons of others examples, same position or not. Its a stupid thing to say. Its not just one ability that makes a player better. Its the whole stuff. And i didnt say that he didnt use his lef foot. He did. But not as good as the right, like Pelé or Brehme did. You are not able to be neutral...
Maybe you are right - I am not neutral, because I am danish. On the other hand you don't know what you are talking about, when you claim that he wasn't as good with the left foot as he was with the right. If you'll watch some of the videos of Laudrup, you will notice that, along with his ability of scoring with his head - something that Maradona couldn't do! If Laudrup wasn't one of the biggest football players of all times, he wouldn't have been voted better than Cruyff, Ronaldo,
it looks like juve didnt play with striker ! only playmakers !! >>> laudrup was as great as platini and maradona he was a legend too in this match platini is not in the mood it looks like he was lost maybe because another playmaker in the same team ?...beautiful video thxh thsnk you
Brehme is a totally different player from Ronaldinho and to compare those two players with eachother is like comparing apples with bananas. And Laudrup did indeed use both of his feet! So this "stupid logic" does make sense Maradona was a brilliant player but overrated imo
After watched closely after long time and not biased by that time. Really what does Maradona have that Laudrup do not have? Maradona fakes, dives, cheats Laudrup had no need for that. Really Maradona are all hyped up, always the victim. When Denmark played against Argentina and Maradone. He showed nothing. He is a drama queen. I bet if Denmark meet Argentina in 1986, Denmark would had won. Maybe not as high as against the South American Champion, but certainly won.
killer instinct, from the father finn laudrup(the true god) to the brother michael and brian they just lacked it. the laudrups was the best in the world on the training pitch but they never cared about winning, only about playing 'the right way'. messi is micheal laudrup with a killer instinct cr7 is brian laudrup with a killer instinct. fair or not, that is the argument against them.
@@theriddler2277 Dont think killer instinct is against the laudrups at all. Reason be, just look at those passes if that is not killer instinct I do not know what is.
@@Tbonyandsteak but the objective was never to score, but to make the perfect pass. it was never to win but to play the perfect game. that meant he would never use 'gods hand' to score, but it also means a lot of people rank him lower among the greats. some of us agree with laudrups vision of what football should be, but for a lot of people winning is all and for them laudrup is 'to naive' or 'to pure'
What stupid logic is that? Ok, lets assume that this is right. Andreas Brehme used his both feet like anybody else. Ronaldinho's left foot is almost useless. Then Brehme is better ? And i must remind you that Laudrup didnt play with both feet equally, like Zidane, Pelé, Brehme and others. He isnt considered the best because he aint the best, not even close. Simple.
It was end of carreer for platini, the golden age for maradona, and the young blood of laudrup. Great to see all these great players on the same pitch
Don Balòn voted him as the best player.
Beckenbauer: "Pele was the best in the 60s, Cruyff in the 70s, Maradona in the 80s and Laudrup in the 90s"

Laudrup's work rate is amazing I jus don't know how he hasn't won a single ballon d'or
Probably because the ballon d'or is a popularity award rather than a best in the world award as it should be.
Maradona was overweight in this game and surrounded by defenders whenever he touched the ball. In an interview recently, Laudrup has said that Maradona was the best player he has ever seen in this lifetime by miles.
sin dudas, Maradona y Laudrup son 2 genios de la historia del futbol, ni es que no son los maximos exponentes historicos
Rivaldo, Romario and your own hero.
If Laudrup had used cocaine, scored with his hand or showed violent behaviour instead of being a decent person, he would draw more attention to himself and people would start to know more about him and his qualities as a football player
Ok have to admit, this is a tough one. but in a complete sense of judging, Laudrup is just better.

Francesco De Vito Amazing! all brazil 82 was amazing!
dangerousblablao superior in what way, stats maybe but that can be explained easily especially when messi plays in a shitty league .

platini et maradona ont des racines italiennes, les deux

King Maradona!
Laudrup ainda era jovem jogador.
Laudrup doing good here:D
Laudrup foi um grande jogador. Platini e Maradona nem comento.
Laudrup foi um dos maiores da história. Um dos 5 melhores que vi jogar.
Yep was, until Laudrup came to Spain. Laudrup was voted best player in Spain 1974-1999
top legends with passes assist free kick

maradona el mejor

In fact. Laudrup had immense potential, maybe as great as Maradona's; but he didn't show it.

He was injured and out of shape
laudrup is too much
Diego Maradona was the greatest ever.
Yeah he have the hands of God.
Laudrup had no need for that, he just showed it.

muito bom
Laudrup!
