I agree! I'm bawling my eyes out right now. I think this just brought home things in my own life. I lost my best friend to cancer in December. My kitty, Ms Phoebe, passed in February just short of her 22nd birthday and I myself have spent 6 weeks of the last 8 in the hospital. It's been a rough, rough year so far. I'm praying for better times soon!

I'm literally crying.......I realize this video was made years ago. However, this is the first time I've seen it, so it's like you just posted, lol. I was 6 years old when USA for Africa did We are the World the first time. The experience of being 6 and coming to understand that while I'M listening with my parents, millions of people around the world were listening to it at the exact same time. I can still feel the childhood awe and feeling so connected in our humanity. It was a powerful impact that helped guide my life. You guys were just amazing and did this song justice. Thank you so much; not only for doing this so well, but for sharing it with the rest of the world. Please keep pushing forward and do more of these. I remember being in elementary school when We are the world came out. We had a field trip to the Meyerhoff symphony hall for a concert of orchestral music. They brought on a special guest steel drum band from Jamaica who in addition to playing many Bob Marley hits started playing We are the world. The entire packed symphony hall sang along. I am now 46 and still thinking back on that memory gives me chills and brings tears to my eyes. We are the world had such a powerful message and impact and im glad to see that 30 years later it still does.
