I am an ELCA Lutheran from South Carolina. Today (April 19), this was the basis for our Sunday School Lesson of the Day. It was entitled "An Executed Scoundrel." However, due to the current Corona Virus outbreak, we only had a drive-up worship service and no Sunday School. Hopefully, we can resume Sunday School in the near future. The hymn, "We Are Called," written and composed by David Haas, is a good hymn to compliment this Scripture, regardless of denomination.
At Esther 6:13, Haman’s wife Zeresh showed that she knew that anyone who tried to kill Jews (God’s people) would be killed. But at Esther 5:14, Zeresh had suggested that Haman kill Mordecai (the leader of the Jews) by hanging him on a stake. When Zeresh made that suggestion to Haman, do you think she was deceiving Haman into getting himself killed?
JOHN IN CHAPTER 5 SHE WANTS MORDECAI KILLED. BY THE TIME CHAPTER SIX COMES SHE REALIZES THAT SOMETHING IS SPECIAL ABOUT THESE JEWS AND KNOWS THAT GOD WILL JUDGE THOSE WHO TRY TO DESTROY THEM.
Mr. Bond, thanks for your kind reply. Are you open to considering an unorthodox idea about Zeresh? At 5:7-9 we see that Haman was rather stupid (he showed the king that Haman’s real desire was to be the king himself, but of course that could only happen if Ahasuerus were to die.) So I propose that this stupid Haman was able to impress Ahasuerus only because Zeresh had been very clever. I think Zeresh had been the original mastermind in the plot to kill Ahasuerus. I think she secretly hired Bigthan and Teresh to be the killers. But after hearing from Haman that Bigthan and Teresh had clumsily exposed themselves, Zeresh then guided Haman into investigating, prosecuting, and executing Bigthan and Teresh, and then taking all the credit for doing so. But when Zeresh later learned that Mordecai the Jew had been behind Esther’s report to the king about Bigthan and Teresh, Zeresh realized that her scheme was going to fail. She then had to get rid of Haman before the king found out that Zeresh had planned the whole thing.

at 19:40 or so, one small quibble is the king did not ever take the money Haman offered but had said he would pay for whatever Haman wanted
GOD BLESS YOU
