Things I'd love to see:
Ammunition ships, Hospital Ships, Troop Ships
More variation of enemy ships (A couple more light / heavy / battleships / aircraft carriers each for USA & UK)
Capture Royal Navy and USN captains / senior engineers
Boarding tankers
Friendly air cover within 80 miles of a port
Ability to load the 4 torpedo tubes from the harbour with the rest of the weapons
Sink the Bismarck event (or in your case protect it by sinking ark royal)
I would add encoutering the french Navy till 1940 Andréa free french navy unités layer, but your list IS very great
You would have liked the Battle Stations: Pacific game, because they had all of those ships in it

That would have to be a seperate game entirely. No way they will drop that big of an update for free.
Very nice, I've been hoping they'd round out the full release with some improved voicework. It's a great game and I'm proud to have been able to contribute to the early access!
It was great even in early access but it gets old quickly with a limited amount of missions Im happy for more content

The dialogue thing is ok, but a difficulty option that doesn't paint the enemy boats on the map would be interesting because the mods for that don't work anymore.

This game has so much potential. I still hope for better cams regarding the sinking of ships to follow them on their way to the seafloor
I think if you stay underwater with an officier working on the hydrophone and an officer on a periscope, keep the calculate torpedo course on that ship, and spectate the ship before it's HP is 0 (sinking) and don't unspectate it then you can see it sink until it reaches the sea floor (unless it's too dark at that depth). Tho, most of the time the ship will have it's physics disabled when it has contact with the sea floor. (Correct me if I'm wrong)
By physics disabled I mean the ship stops moving.

i bought this a couple years ago... like way early beta, played it for a bit and loved it... then went back to my regular mmo's... and then forgot i even had it... then lately I've been all back into ships and subs and all that good stuff, watched Das Boot again and then i caught a video of the game UBOAT and damn it looks amazing now! I'm reinstalling it right now! lol. can't wait to check it out with actual storms and ships and all that! one of my favorite scenes in Das Boot is when the two subs pass nearby in the storm, the subs hulls crashing down out of the huge waves!

Best y'all are working on. Very fun, and a lot of potential. Hopefull can be expanded on with more ships/ submarines to play as.
I'm just hoping for bug fixes. Allow us to delete custom schedules, allow us to reload torpedoes from the tab menu, allow us to put priority on "man command station", those kind of things.
These are really good suggestions.
I dream of a game which covers the following sub operations, historically accurate: English, German (Asia), American, Japanese and - if availible - France and Russia. And yes i am willing to pay for these extensions as a DLC. Nice would be also the mac platform. And yes, more realistic Dialogs... i don't believe that a commander would answer "i have bad feeeling" regarding ASDIC...
after seening a Japanese submarine in this video. Now i want to ail one in this game. Or can you make a dlc, or make a separate campaign as a Japanese Captain on a Japanese Submarine in the pacific ? :)
More subs in general would be awesome--I'd love to cruise around in the French Surcouf, or an American Gato-class.

+1, although I think it would be, perhaps, even better to have a Japanese submarine campaign - or a British one, focused on Mediterranean. A lot of opportunities and these campaigns AFAIK were never presented in any game whatsoever.

Honestly wish they would add more target ships like how the Silent Hunter series has so many ships you can sink and target. Also they could work to improve the sinking mechanics of ships, I honestly hate how ships sink currently, they just like sink so flat, boringly and quickly.
Finally more submarine types to use. Like the XXI class. Or XXIII even

I imagine they'll keep it in, but make it a bit more specific. It's not really something you'd say when just getting underway, but ordering maximum power while being depth charged makes a lot of sense

I hated "Schneller! Schneller!". It's what I would say as a child if we were playing Uboat as a roleplay game with my friends (or maybe not, because even as a child we would have known it better). In the real world you give commands which speed you want, not just "faster! faster!"

The first thing I did when the mod came out to stop "Schneller! Schneller!" was subscribe and turned on. God, I hate that!

0:07 What is that structure? My brain keeps answering "drawbridge" but that doesn't make any sense and I can't for the life of me puzzle out its function.
It almost looks like a cable car of some sort, but I can't tell what it's moving from one "shore" to the other if so.
It's Marseille transporter bridge. It was having a gondola attached that was moving from one end to the other. It's an interesting structure indeed.
@@nihilcat317 Thanks for giving me the name as well, looked it up and you're right it sounds like it was really interesting. Basically a section of bridge that slid back and forth. Apparently it also had a fish restaurant at the top.

First 'glance': it sounds like the German is either deliberately dumbed down, or the speakers aren't Germans. That has IMO a slight drawback authenticity-wise, BUT makes it so easy to understand even I don't need subtitles.
I absolutely love that bridge - landmark-thingie. Hope to see the iconic twin-towers at La Rochelle replace the standard lighthouses currently there. It's stuff like that, and the V.O. stuff, that would really be a huge step forward for this game.
Best thing about this clip: the absolutely astonishing shot of the section view with the sinking ship in the background!
What is that, Water becoming more transparent? Never been able to see stuff like that before (in this game). (I sure do hope that won't mean the allies will be able to spot T1 torpedoes now...:-) )

The milk cow submarine hasn't worked for me for a while, I order supplies over the radio but they are never available. in any place and year and forces me to shorten the patrols. can you fix it please?

i honestly want to keep supporting this game but there isnt much to buy back. i hope that the next update brings another sub DLC, maybe a type 2 or IX since i think its still to early for the XXI

I am really excited about the new update. And finally the "schneller, schneller" is gone.
But as much as I appreciate the new voice lines, they still feel unnatural. Especially if you are a native speaker. I hope there will be some improvements before release.

I'm not a hardcore historian fan but on the one hand I have some tech background and well on the other hand, in every movie from that time period with ships you hear the real commands. It makes so much more sense to say the speed you want as a command instead of just "faster! faster!"

Looks amazing. Honestly id like uboat(or an exact coppy) centerd around the japanese submarines. (and or surface ships) japan is almost not represented in any ww2 game at this point and its sad. thier navy was fking amazing.
Overall, the Japanese sank about 1 million tons of Allied merchant ships, trying to impact the supply chain. In contrast, German U-boats sank over 14 million tons.

What my biggest complaint in the game is that the hydrophone operator keeps telling me that he hears propellors of the ships he has already identified. Cancels any time compression you have going on and just repeats himself, over and over. Makes me want to shoot him to make him stop!🔫

Ladies and gentleman, congratulations. All of you supporting this game are ok with Nazis destroying "enemy" (our allies and own) ships in WW2. You can't simp any harder than get behind this game. And for the one person who tries to argue that they're not Nazis, they're WW2 Uboat crew. They're Nazis. Go read a history book.

I am from Germany....The game is now absolutely unplayable for me.... The voice acting and translation is just a mess... oh my gosh!
As a native speaker you can hear the pipeline: Someone wrote the text and the localisation service translated the whole thing into written(!) text instead of spoken text. And finally, a german voice actor who simply reads off the lines without knowing the context.
Lucky you, if you don't speak german. The "Schneller,Schneller" was alrready awful, but at least there was a mod to deactivate it.
It's really really sad, because the game excels in so many areas. I don't want to blame the devs for it, as they are at the mercy of a third party.... but holy cow! This is god awful! Even my English is better than this terrible mess.
I wanted to start a new carreer, see all the new stuff and missions! Meeting with this awesome japanese submarine and scrutinizing neutral vessels.... but the voice acting? Game breaker! At least for me. Maybe not for you. Sorry for this dreadful comment, but I am really really disappointed :(

The voice actors are amazing, but unfortunately it's not matching with the surrounding situation, the voice actor of the listening room is pretty comfortable when he said (we are pinged on the sonar), the old voice was better, seems like roblox lol, where is the voice (acting) where is the horror?

The new voice lines seem kind of… weak? Seems more like a casual conversation and lacks the intensity of war

"das ist nicht gut" - all immersion killed thanks to boring TKKG style audio story for children intonation.
I really like the effort, but half of the new voicelines appear unfitting - not necessarily because of the spoken text itself but because of the way they're spoken / intonation etc.. it's really as if i'd be 35 years younger again listening to tapes (the usual kid's tapes stories like above mentioned TKKG we used to listen to) while going to bed.
Even to me, someone who doesn't speak german, "das is nicht gut" sounds very basic and bland.
I mean cmon PlayWay this game actually has alot of potential how about you stop wasting time on pumping out 10 shit games a month and actually try and finish the games that actually have potential im talking games like this UBOAT, car mechanic simulator, Goldrush etc. these games actually have potential in my opinion insted i see just loads of shit games that get into earlly acces and then forgotten because nobody even noticed they came out, please i love the UBOAT played it since it came out for testing so how about you finish it, thank you
