I never realized that spectator mode was added to Undertale.
I don't think it's as hard outside of battle as inside of battle. When you're out of battle since the screen still somewhat follows you around you can kind of get where you are. Plus you become visible for a tiny moment after you enter a section so you do get some advantage from that. But in battle on the other hand...

This whole video reminds me of this undertale game I used to play on roblox. There was (and still is) a glitch that lets you become invisible. Not only that, some characters had accessories that could be visible while the glitch was active. I always used this glitch with frisk, so I could roleplay as a stack of floating hotdogs.
