@@smooth_ops2942 Well I believe we can, but here it's not common practice to do so. It's more usual to use a credit card to buy online, but because not all Portuguese have credit cards (we don't have credit score) this is useful because it allows us to have a credit card for 1 specific use (e.g.: if the website only allows VISA, AMEX or Mastercard payments) and then discard it.

My sister absolutely destroyed her credit rating and it's taken 10 years for it to be somewhat okay. She got a job and decided to get a bunch of store cards for clothing stores. And a few others and eventually, she hardly paid off the minimum making her owed balance continuously go up. She lost one of the cards and happened to find it two months later, (keep in mind she was having letters saying you owe us £100+) her first response was oh great I can buy some more clothes...... 10 years later she's finally out of the debt, but has decided to do an open university course for something she thinks she "might" want to do. 🤦 Ive tried pointing her to your channel she never listens to reason.
Wow, a company that offers you a loan based on your future/actual income and not based on the fact that your father paid his water bill in 1986 with a credit card he added you as a user in 1998 ! That's basically what we have always done in Switzerland. It is how it should be everywhere...
This is really interesting to me. I'm a Canadian working in the US so I have basically no credit history but I have a decent job (at least one worth crossing borders for). I used Amex's global transfer program to get a US Amex , but this is also a good option for those times I need another alternative. Thanks for highlighting this!
Received my invite to apply for this card earlier this week. Decided to just see what their offer was since they don't do a hard pull until after you accept the offer. I was shocked when my initial offer was a $14,000 credit line which is 3x higher than my other CC. The interest rate was also significantly lower than my other CC. Suffice to say, I accepted the offer and will likely be closing my other accounts in the future.
I got the X1 card to primarily decrease my utilization and increase my credit limit because of the high limits. At the same time, I'm paying down/off my smaller cards, but putting small charges on them to keep my cards alive. If I were to close my smaller cards that I have had for 10+ years, it would send my length of credit history down and so my score will follow. I will never close my cards as I have in the past and dropped my score 100 pts overnight. If you have a spending problem, then maybe closing them would be beneficial. My opinion from experience.

My only real concern with these smart credit cards is that some places need your information in able to serve you. For example, I work for a rental car company and we won't accept the apple credit card because there's no fixed credit card number. We need to make sure you verify and that if anything happens to our car we have your card information for repairs, extensions, etc.
I know you said that most people buying supreme aren’t worried about cash back but as a reseller I thought I would shed some light. When ever we buy items like supreme or yeezys or anything to resell most of us all use a credit card to get the 2% cash back and then pay it off immediately which builds our credit score and increases profitability.
Hey Graham, I would like to see a more detailed video about starting on investing based on your experience. You already posted some videos about "How to de millionaire at 30 starting with $100" or some of that videos where you say the plan: live below your means, save, invest, etc. And other videos about investing on Stocks, Roth IRA, Index funds, etc. But now, would be interesting to see more in detail, for example, I have already saved the emergency savings and have $2k or $5k available for investing, how can you diversify it? Which % goes to stocks - index.... how can I see which index or stocks are better.... and that type of detailed content on investing for beginners. At the end monetizing more lol but I think would be great content
This is a huge topic, but gotta start somewhere. If you are starting with a relatively small amount and are a US investor, my suggestion would be to open up a Roth IRA account and put 100% in an index fund. VTI (Vanguard Total Market Index Fund) is my personal favorite. An index fund is a collection of stocks, designed with the goal of diversifying your investment without you having to worry about the details. You can do all of that through most broker sites, including Vanguard. But obviously, do your own research before you put money into anything.
@@gregerlandson7193 Thank you so much for you complete response!! Gonna look on that. The only thing is that I'm not a US investor so I can't use Vanguard. I'm from South America - Colombia and I saw that Vanguard only accept institutional investors from South America. Do you may know some brokers that allows international investors? I'm Gonna look on Index Funds first for at least 90% of my investments at this point (gonna look brokers that I can invest in from Colombia) and 5% for stocks and 5% on Roth IRA and something else...
@@davidasdxd I don't know what your options for Columbia are, but the Roth IRA is US-only. It is a type of account you can hold investments (like stocks and index funds) in with tax benefits. The Roth IRA is not an investment itself. Columbia may have something similar by a different name. An index fund is a collection of stocks, so I would advise against also buying individual stocks, at least as a novice investor.
@@gregerlandson7193 yeah, I will look about the Roth IRA, what is that option here, how is it called. I will check if there is any of the available options from the US to Colombians, if not I'll have to check which is better here. Definitely not gonna start with stocks then. First Index and learn about stocks. Thank you so much!
Hey Graham, not sure if you've done it , but can you explain how you handled taxes the first your your channel took off and you made all that money and how you've learned to manage taxes and take advantage of certain expenses that helps you with taxes? Would be cool to see , thanks.
Do you really need credit history in order to get a credit card? I always thought that was not a hard rule. My very first credit card was with Discover, and they gave me 8k credit limit when I had zero credit history. (since it was my first credit card ever) At the time when I was 22, 8k seemed like so much money to me, and in retrospect, 8k WAS a lot for a 22 year old kid as the very first credit card. I wonder what everyone else's experience are for their first credit card approval?
You don't need a credit history to get a credit card, especially a secured card. Unsecured credit cards will be given to pretty much anyone without a score as long as the limit is manageably low, so if the user defaults the issuing bank won't even care. My limit at 16 was only $800.
Long story: I started with a capital one platinum secured card for 2 years, upgraded to the quicksilver and used it for another year. Got the chase 5% card for 6 months then applied for the discover it card. I had never missed a payment on any cards, and kept utilization low. Discover denied me for having a defaulted student loan despite all the credit card history I had. My score was 680 Experian 700 credit karma at the time. I called the reconsideration line and they told me basically to “gfy”. Fast forward to now a year later, I just rehab’d my student loans which ends with them completely removing them off my credit report until the new loan holder takes over. My score now is 757 Experian and I’m finally going to be able to apply for the discover it card while I’m getting offers for American Express and the chase sapphire cards 😂
I love it. ... never mind. Cash back or the card could be made of platinum would still be useless. The credit card companies should just make a 90% solid gold credit card I might actually try to get that.

This is a great card for sneaker resellers . It provides virtual card for buying shoes at stores that only allow one per card plus the points you get make it even better especially at supreme when people are trying to resell
I reviewed this card on my video a few days ago. I signed up on the wait list just to see what the credit limit would be. I do like some of the differences it has compared to other cards and I do believe that other cards will have to come up to the standard that this card will set.

@@drejaquez Good point!
I really enjoy these card reviews. Not sure why but they're just enjoyable 😂
thanks!!
I like the new background, not that there is anything wrong with the last one. But seeing something different is nice from time to time
Video in 2021: Graham leads the design of yotta’s new credit card 😂
:P
@@GrahamStephan 😍 seems like you already are!!
K Kao mine was $1500 at 18 years old with Discover as well!
You don't need a credit history to get a credit card, especially a secured card. Unsecured credit cards will be given to pretty much anyone without a score as long as the limit is manageably low, so if the user defaults the issuing bank won't even care. My limit at 16 was only $800.
Long story:
I started with a capital one platinum secured card for 2 years, upgraded to the quicksilver and used it for another year.
I started with citi card at $1000 CL at 19 yrs old.
I love it. ... never mind. Cash back or the card could be made of platinum would still be useless. The credit card companies should just make a 90% solid gold credit card I might actually try to get that.

In order to make profits in the stock market, one has to have a good strategy and proper knowledge of how the holders manipulate the market.

Speaking of $7 coffees, I think it would be an incredible idea for a series of "review videos". "Graham tries the Starbucks ____, why it's not worth it unless it's a business expense for your channel | And even then, not really"
hah I like the idea!
Good video, but I strongly disagree that credit cards don’t need numbers that are visible- weather on the rear or front.
Watch: Yotta bank credit card coming soon 😂
I like the anonymous ability and one time use features 👍
This card is somehow too Gen Z / Millennial for me and I was born in '97...
You should make
the “20 cent iced coffee card!”
I'd love that!
Did you get your MacBook repaired at apple? I’m the kid who told you about it

optumus 24 yeah I told him to take it to apple to get the butterfly keyboard replaced, I might find what video it was on and then I will come and reply again

Should I go to college before becoming a real estate agent?
I don’t have a metal credit card but I know if I get one, it’ll make me spend more money 🤑
Just because you make alot of money doesn't mean you'll be Responsible with credit.
This is a great card for sneaker resellers . It provides virtual card for buying shoes at stores that only allow one per card plus the points you get make it even better especially at supreme when people are trying to resell
Digging the new background. Great video!
Glad to hear it!
I reviewed this card on my video a few days ago. I signed up on the wait list just to see what the credit limit would be. I do like some of the differences it has compared to other cards and I do believe that other cards will have to come up to the standard that this card will set.
Before we make a new credit card and change the world, can we fix the huge spam/scam posting on TH-cam? It's gotten crazy.
Hey Graham, what are your thoughts on Student Credit Cards (ie Discovered It Student) as an alternative to cash-secured credit cards for college students thinking about getting their first credit card?
I applied with an income of 118K and got approved for 26K I September 2022
Wow, I'm getting this card for the orb.
😂😂

I wonder if graham knows about double edge razors. You can get razors for 5 cents.
