Hello guys!! Welcome back to another video and in this video I am at Liskeard which is located on the Cornish Mainline and on the junction for the Looe Valley Line. In this video you will see services operated by Great Western Railway and CrossCountry.
So as you may have guessed by the opening text, this video is incredibly samey samey with the Looe Valley Line closed and the HSTs not operating on a Sunday combined with engineering between Exeter and Plymouth IETs were the only representatives of GWR with one singular voyager once again being the highlight just like the last videos on the Weston loop.. who knew??
Splendid shots and captures there Jacob. Nice sounds and liveries. Good action from there too. Plenty of IETs there, I like the GWR Castle Sets. Very nice indeed! Really enjoyed, thanks for sharing!

nice video shame only iets apart from the one voyager and not even any looe line still you got some nice shots and cool clips of the semaphores which r gone now

Best part is the GWR (real GWR!) lower quadrant signals. Brings back memories of my trainspotting days in the Slough of the 1950s. At least we had real Castle locos LOL.
Mustve been great hearing those rocket through Slough!! Dont think even modern Castle Sets could live to that even if they are amazing

Yea definitely took away from variety anf split the IETs up but will be back in the summer when HSTs are running as well
Great video . Dont mind the IETs but I also love the HSTs and is a great shame so see them be so few and far between on services

@@JacobsTrainVideos Very sad. At least it’s a Sunday for now. HSTs (specifically 43s) are my favourite trains ever 💔
@@TheCaterhamBusGuys Scotrail will be keeping theirs till about 2026/7 so if you are commited enough you have plenty of timr to see those

Because theres nothing wrong with the HSTs GWR said so themselves
@@JacobsTrainVideos The HSTs are approaching 50 years old by this point, sure they may have little wrong, but then the issue with these older trains is that when things go wrong, it can be harder to get parts for them. Not to mention that a Class 43 will be alot more polluting as well, which in the current situation, is something you dont really want, especially when IETs emit 90% grams less Particulate emissions per hour and 58% less NOx as well.
@@Seagull81006 Doesnt seem a problem for other countries and other operators in the UK e.g Scotrail or Rail Adventure though
@@JacobsTrainVideos seems like you dont know how buisnesses work, the more older vehicle you have, the more costly it gets gradually to repair and maintain
@@BBS7523He’s saying it’s not a problem for other companies like RailAdventure and ScotRail which is true. If there was really all those problems with them then they wouldn’t still be running them
