I get the sense Dan Harmon just went on a rant about heist movies in the writing room and everyone else was just like 'WRITE THAT DOWN, WRITE THAT DOWN!'
True story ... I first watched this episode stoned and let me tell you ... I was so confused and entertained all at the same time lol
Oh my god, I couldn't even imagine. No shot I'd be able to follow what was going on 😂
"That's exactly the kind of thing I would have liked to explore in my class... too bad I lost my job for putting my students in the hospital."
And thus it begins...
The ultimate twist at the end was what makes me love this episode. I really appreciate the satire
This episode is pure satire such a good parody of all the awful heist movies
So we just gonna ignore the fact that Rick was pulling the Earth with his car😂😂😂
lol when still a child and Ocean's Eleven was released I loved the movie, but now I'm older and watched this episode, it makes a perfect joke about the whole mechanisms of those type of movies' story lines
Yeah, I think a movie like that is probably best enjoyed at a younger age, at least depending on what you're looking for you know?
@@EversPrimeTime well, I might be a case apart, because got tired of movies always releasing the "the return", "the mission" and stuff, because it kinda gets repetitive
Initially I hated this episode, like you said, I found it incredibly exhausting, but the fact that the entire debacle was just a bit by Rick to steal Morty's enthusiasm for his heist script made it much better to me
Yeah, I just read another comment that that was the point of the episode. Which I realized it happened, but I thought that was more of a side effect rather than the point. So that does make it *slightly* better. But I still wouldn't watch again 😂
this episode was both a really solid criticism of heist movies, and also a really bad case of beating a dead horse with another dead horse
The dead horse was launched to the moon and brought back by a team of other dead horses to then be beaten upon by 100 duck sized dead horses.
Yes here is 1 who don't like heists, although this might be the only heist that I enjoyed, and I stopped trying to use my brain when they showed randotron XD
Love Rick in this one ❤😂
I love this episode, mostly because I hate heist movies, but its also pretty damn funny.
This was one of the better of R&M's subgenre parodies, but I agree that it isn't a top-tier episode in general.
This was one mish mash of an episode :P Not a favorite of mine, but they do pick things up nicely in the future.
Yeah, it's got some good pieces but definitely not something I'd watch again
Dan Harmon hates heists...
Dan Harmon hates heist movies, he also made a lot of hating heist stuff references in Community! I think there is an episode named Grifting 101 or something like that. Which is basically them making fun of those things.
I dont know how I got here so fast. Anyways,
FIRST
Hehe there are some of us that saw this weeks ago by mistake. 🤪 You are the first comment tho. So there’s that! 🤘
@@PhoenixMF1986 I thought I was going crazy thinking he'd already done this one lol...thanks for the reminder!
*Pretty much get used to this Everdream. I call Season 4 and Season 5 the 'intentionally being as confusing as possible for the lolz' era of the show. Where I think the writers kinda lost the plot and thought that was the kind of thing that made people like the show. Thankfully the last episode of Season 5 and so far all of Season 6 have been a nice return to form.*
Overall, I enjoyed S4, there's really only 2 episodes that I was like meh on. This being one of them. I won't say what the other is til it's time 😅
Idk, this episode is great, but don't ask me. 😶🌫️
Not a great episode. Definitely saw you losing some interest because of how exhausting it is. I couldnt really tell if you got the big payoff tho. Did u realize it was all an elaborate plan to get morty to hate heists on his own volition? That was the whole catch...
I'm really bad at faking a good mood 😂 I "kind" of understood that. Like when he's explaining his plot and just kinda lets it go. I got that. But I figured that was just a side effect of the events, not really the point of them. So that makes sense though!
I wouldn't call this episode bad, but its one of the worst Rick and Morty episodes. And I actually like heist movies.
My favs are almost always the big epic ones so this one def isn't a fav of the season, but I liked it. I like sassy Rick so I was cool with it. But also the casual deflating of it as he's just shouting "no but I know that tho" at a robot he built to shout back at him until he wins or w/e. xp I just roll along for the ride and giggle out , until the next big one
There's definitely good moments in it, but oh my god, I felt like I watched a 2 hour movie 😂
THANKS FOR WATCHING EVERYONE! Don't forget to S U B S C R I B E !
