Hey everyone,
This film only came out today so I’m pretty quick with this edit but I watched it earlier and I loved it! These two boys are just the cutest and they clearly adore each other. I like the fact that it’s left open as to whether or not they are gay but I personally would like to think so, they’d make the cutest couple. And it is pride month after all!!!
For anyone who hasn’t yet watched the film I would highly recommend it. It’s fun, lighthearted (mostly) and the animation is absolutely stunning!

I really liked this film, I also liked the fact that the human father was the one to accept them, I thought he was going to be the villain of the story but I really like the fact that he wasn’t portrayed as the stereotypical villain. I’m not sure if that makes sense xD and I absolutely LOVE THE DESIGNS OF THE SEA MONSTERS

Yes! It does make sense and it's so sweet because Alberto was basically left astray but now he's adopted by Julia's family and is also really close with Alberto's family, which you see in the credits. Their bond is so powerful that Alberto and Luca are never really alone. I love this movie so much it's so heartwarming and special 💕

This movie, for me, is one of the best Pixar's movies...
I know they’re friends, but the way they acted towards each other, it was like they loved each other!!! Also I LOVED when Alberto got jealous when guiletta was bonding with Luca!
A good bye kiss on the cheek would’ve been nice, I mean some kisses are platonic, sometimes they mean good bye or hello, they wouldn’t even have to say anything, cause we all *know*.

Well, of course they love eachother! They're FRIENDS. Boyfriends and girlfriends aren't the only people to love eachother. Love exists in Mothers and daughters, sisters and brothers, teachers and students, and in so many different ways.
Luca gave off so many bi vibes, and Alberto so many gay ones. Especially with Alberto getting r e a l l y jealous in the movie. I ship them so much from that ending. At first I was like ‘Maybe not’ but the whole time I couldn’t help but think of it as a lgbt film. Especially when the grandma was talking to Luca’s parents, I can’t exactly remember what was said but it was along the lines of “Not everyone will accept him.” And that hit me so hard as a gay guy. Like that’s what I’ve been told that not everyone will accept me, but some people will. And idk I just love them so much, ship or not. Their friendship was so good, and I teared up at the end of the movie. The train scene really made me have it set in stone of some kind of relationship.
I thought i was the only one. Man you hit every point, my thoughts exactly. It's really hard to ignore. Plus they relessed this during Pride Month

Even if they're just friends, I am glad they're able to be so touchy with each other without it being a big deal. Don't get me wrong, the queer vibes were off the charts from the beginning, but I'm just glad it isn't specifically because they're okay with hugging each other and being vaguely affectionate. I guess I'm still stuck on how stupid it was when preteens and teenage boys would act like patting their friend on the back was a bad thing because it meant they were gay. Here, they could be gay, but it's because of the chemistry they've built up, the trust they have in each other, the implications with the train scene and "you got me off the island" and the scene where the granny mentioned they would never be accepted by some people but they found the ones who would accept them. There were a ton of better explanations for why the queer community identified with them so quickly than the fact that they hugged a few times.

I've seen the movie and there is one lesson I think Disney and Pixar got perfectly on point with:
"Not everybody will accept Luca, but some will. And Luca can find the right ones".
Loved the movie! I’m so happy Alberto kind of found a family with Giulia’s father. I like to think he later adopts him, considering Giulia and Alberto already seem to have a brother and sister relationship.

Honestly, although I think the plot lacked conflict, the animation, the character design and the development and chemistry of Luca and Alberto's "friendship" was 100% worth it and I would see it again.
I think it was meant to be like that. It was a character-driven story, coming of-age story. Conflict would be secondary in most of these cases.
I mean, almost in every gay movie has motorbike ride scene. I personally wouldn't push the lgbtq allegory thing, it's still a cozy pixar kids adventure. I just love seeing Luca and Alberto as couple. I would have a huge crush on Alberto lol.

This movie was awesome. The ending was like as if I felt their sadness. I watched other sad moments in other movies/games but not like this. This movie really gave me happiness and sadness. They are truly best of friends!

I feel like this song really correlates to Alberto throughout the movie. Not having a mom, and abandoned by his dad, I bet he felt pretty lonely and unwanted. Literally no one wanted him, not even the humans who he so learned to love. Then Luca comes around. He finally has someone to teach all the fun things he's had to keep buried for months. He has someone to have fun with, and even take care of, now that he wasn't the one who needed the care. He wanted to impress Luca (and also had a crush on him) which meant that all Alberto wanted was to be loved. He tried so hard to be there for Luca.
You know that feeling when someone posts an edit of your favorite movie along with a song you love so you watch it and it becomes your favorite thing.
OMG I still can't stop coming back to this video, even a year later.😭 This is honestly my favorite ship of all time, right up there with WALL-E and EVE from WALL-E and Luz and Amity from The Owl House. It's just so sweet, adorable, and wholesome. To me, all of Luca and Alberto's scenes felt FAR more romantic and meaningful than the vast majority of canonical romances I've seen.
Even though Luca has a pretty simple plot compared to most other Pixar movies, it honestly means more to me than the majority of them combined. It's such a beautiful story about friendship, love, and acceptance that never gets old (at least in my eyes). Its themes are so relatable and hit SO close to home for me. This film makes me feel seen in a way that no other movie ever has.
By the way, this is honestly my absolute favorite video from you!!! It's so well edited and captures the emotion of the original film perfectly! All the wholesome Luberto videos I've found on TH-cam make my day. Luca and Alberto are so cute together, my heart lights up like a Christmas tree whenever I see them, just hanging out and being adorable lol. It honestly breaks my heart that almost no one seems to talk about Luca anymore. :'( I'm so happy that videos like this still exist for those who are still huge fans to revisit.

From the beginning of the film I noticed how Luca and Alberto match. throughout the film, all that perception matured and I could see the affection, the affection, the understanding that the two have a For the other. You could see that in addition to being great friends, they felt deeper feelings for each other. And sure enough, it was hard for them to have to separate and suppress those feelings.
I've been obsessively watching Luca x Alberto fan videos for like 4 solid hours a day (no exaggeration) since first seeing the movie three days ago, and over all that time I must say this video of yours is the best I've seen!

I absolutely love Alberto and Luca; I could NEVER get the same kind of bond they had from anyone else. It was way more tear jerking and absolutely sweet, and I loved the adorable moments they shared throughout their journey. The two were able to grow beacuse of the other and found so much happiness together, I mean seriously I just can't think of their jealousy, touchy-feely, Connection, looking out for each other, the way Alberto shared his past with Luca but no one else, that moment Luca saved Alberto, the moment Alberto got beat up, there was way too many more lol. I absolutely adored the dirty jokes in the movie too; it makes me sad no one seemed to notice that when Alberto and Luca had that gigantic fight before showing the true sea monster form, Luca actually did that handshake that Alberto taught him in the beginning beacuse of how pissed off he was at the moment with Giulia, which was a serious crossing the line moment for the two beacuse it was personally "their thing" not "Giulia's thing"
