:') I love how much Ernie loves playing Pumbaa. There's TLK content out there where Timon isn't played by Nathan, but as far as I know, Ernie is ALWAYS Pumbaa. I don't think anyone else has ever played Pumbaa. I kinda hope it stays that way.
Seth Rogan plays in the 2019 remake and he'll be reprising the role for Mufasa: The Lion King

Ernie's "normal" voice doesn't sound like his Pumbaa character, unlike Nathan Lane where I can always catch a hint of Timon even when he's speaking normally :))
Agreed, Ernie's normal and Pumbaa voices are quite different. But different in a good, interesting way. Having watched interviews featuring Nathan Lane his normal voice definitely has hints of Timon.

I always loved the Lion King and I have had the chance to work on local projects in my country with our local dubbing voice for Timon. And in 2019, for the live action adaptation of the movie, an old schoolmate from my brother got to be Simba's dubbing voice, so it's great that this movie has now a bit more of a personal connection to my life.
It’s amazing. What an honor to watch the original Lion King with one of its voice actors, one who has played Pumbaa throughout the entire lion King cartoon franchise.

Ernie Sabella should really have been brought back for the 2019 Lion King remake. He's irreplaceable like James Earl Jones is to Mufasa.
The Lion King is by far my favourite Disney movie (possibly even my favourite movie ever...not sure) and Pumbaa is my absolute favourite character. I am so happy right now

I feel old thanks to this. The Lion King was the very first movie I ever saw in the theater. Unfortunately the theater where I saw it in has been torn down but I still remember where the theater was to this day. I was the biggest kid in my class the day after I saw The Lion King. Everyone including my teachers and teacher assistant was asking me what is it like and the plot of the movie. I just said that it's really good and they should go and see it as soon as they can because I won't tell them the plot.

I'm from Belgium and I had to opportunity to do some backstage work during a play which was directed by the dutch voice actor of Timon. Being a big Lion King fan and having watched the local version of the movie, that was such a great experience to finally meet one of my childhood characters.

Not bad but why is The Lion King such a Big Deal right now in 2017 the Movie had it's 20th Anniversary in 2014 & i did Appreciate it on it's 20th but i don't see what's the Big Deal just now with this Film, Why?, Is it having a Prequel of some kind or maybe having a New Movie? Well if People back at the Studio were willing to come up with another Idea but similar to this Movie they would & should come up with an Idea Called, The Lion Queen. Well that would be an Idea to have if the Studio is willing to make it Happen cause if this Movie is such a Big Deal right now then i don't see why they would not come up with another Idea that's still in The Lion King Story maybe we could see Nala's side of the Story wouldn't that be Great? we've all seen Simba's Why Not Nala's? Hmmm, Hmmm?
They are making a live action version of it
Sounds Interesting but haven't they thought of going back to the Old Disney Animation or maybe come up with a New Idea for the Story in The Lion King like Nala's Story would be Great to see cause we have Already Seen Simba's am i right?
