Been watching a lot of marvel rivals recently and while it looks new, fun and exciting there's no denying that overwatch is extremely polished in comparison to everyone else. I'm not talking balance, monetisation or systems. But the animations, UI, voice actors, maps, visuals and characters are simply amazing. If they hadn't been so greedy, balanced the game properly (LW, sym and rein completely neglected) then it wouldn't be so hated
You know the funny thing is that OW1 was even more polished than OW2 in regards to those things you mentioned.
The UI was clearly superior- more minimal, logical, and a lot cleaner. Junker Queen's kit still feel awkwardly indirect compared to all the heros released in OW1. Rein's charge can be slept but not Mauga? Orisa's Javelin spin shield also has very awkward animation that looks like an after thought. I feel like these weirdly designed abilities which are supposed to improve tanks' survivability are taking away a bit of the 'punchiness' of the game, a sensation that is a bit hard to describe, which was why I loved OW1 from the first place. The sensation of hitting a target, feeling the impact via animation and sound effect, was very on point with OW1(still is for the most part but less so now). It vaguely resembles the feeling I had when I first played SF2 back in the day,, when the game input feels rewarding with the combo of great sound effect and animation. I also think that the guns' sound effects was better in OW1. They specifically announced that they want to make the guns sound more realistic but many of the changes are just making the sound effects of various guns more 'bassy'.
The new maps in OW2, while still detailed and aesthetically consistent with the rest of the maps from before, feel less unique, especially those in Push and Flashpoint. Don't get me wrong though I think these two modes are actually quite fun to play in, but there is no denying that the maps have far less personalities compared to say Dorado, King's Row, or Temple of Anubis.
At the end of the day I agree with you though...none of the copycats were even close in terms of being polished. It is actually a huge part when it comes to playability. But as a someone who played this game since day 1, I am pretty positive that those aspects you mentioned were better in OW1.
@@blipblip i actually prefer the OW2 ui but agree on some other points.
I agree, with the pros and cons you mention, and would like to add something for your consideration. At its core, ow is created and balance for pros to compete, and that hurt the casual part of the fan base, which is probably the majority of the demographic. When I play for 5 games, in which just one was fun and the others felt like a waste of time or stressful I found myself wondering, if I play for the fun, or for the chances of having fun. Does you or anybody else feel something similar to what I am describing?
@@Zesarlopezfrend ow is a game i can have some of the best fun in and some of the worst moments as well. I'm a tank main but sombra makes the game absolutely horrible for me. So does mauga, zen and kiriko. If the enemy team runs any of those, or god forbid all of them i have a horrible time. Conversely if they run reinhardt, ana lucio with any dps that isn't Sombra i can have a ton of fun in the rein mirror. Or sigma or whatever tank isn't mauga. It's mostly a few VERY problematic heroes that ruin it, as well as very poor game balance
Sadly i can relate 😂😂
Yeah, the Brig change and the tank buff makes her so much more fun to play.
I haven’t played overwatch since 2 dropped but i was a Brigitte main. Coming back to the game now and im so happy she’s been buffed
SOMEONE HELP...am i the only one who lost ALL of their mythic skins in this new uodate? Havent seen anyone talking about it but even the mythic store is gone from the shop
Don’t worry, apparently there was something going on where I believe some if not all mythic skins were taking people out either endgame or something so they’re just fixing before bringing them all back if they haven’t already.
Thank you, i watch a few youtubers but dont keep up with game news too much i was really upset ive inveated way too much time and money into getting all the mythics and they were just gone and noone else has said anything.
Yep, all of mine were gone too. We in this together.
@@Amer_S makes you wanna stop playing after all that effort just disappears
@@finddom6393 take some comfort, but if you contact customer service, they would do everything they could to restore it for you.
Nice! Adds a layer of debt to her without making her exceptionally stronger!

Nano BrigBlade is real
Ana missing her actual NANO target at 1:56 thinking "okay... that worked out". Very sure this is untrue but i just think it is funny lol
Coffee time after sleeping in, and waking up to bright changes? This should be good
Yo I swear if they just give her repair pack the life steal ability just like in mirror watch she will be golden and if possible also give her the empowered shield bash ability similar to doomfist powerblock
Incredible brig play
Need help, I tried to master Brigitte. I notice I died a lot more with her than other support 😢. Who is best paired with her currently. I feel like she needs some extra care from the other supports or she dies way too fast.
GM2 Brig, best advice I can give is Brig is not a tank. Most people play her too aggressive. You’ll be using shield bash to get away from enemies just as much as you would to close the gap on them. Try to keep your passive up as much as possible, and sit back and toss health packs like you are the PG in basketball.
T500 brig here. Honestly I recommend thinking of yourself as an only support. You cant save them all but you can play angles that keep you alive and allow you to proc inspire. Most of the time I get caught and die it's because I used bash too aggressive to try to secure a kill or activate proc. Play the long game.
@@trevorsteadman1322 is she best playing with a tank that has a shield or can she be playing with any tank?
@@nostalgjc1 she can work with any comp, but it will require an adjustment in play style and to hit your boops from a distance.
Ultimately, in higher ranks hits can will be more willing to shoot at your shield and take away your mobility. But not as many as you think. You are the biggest anti dive character with high burst damage when integrating your abilities with your autos.
She’s relatively safe when widow is uncontested with your shield, and with practice, win most matchups against Sombra, tracer, genji, etc.
In brawl/dive, you’ll just stick between your other support and tank. When an enemy is out of position, you can combo your abilities and confirm kills.
In poke, it’s more prioritizing who to keep enemies off your back line. Booping the enemy tank to keep your passive healing your team. You can use your shield to get closer, to get a cleaner boop shot, then shield bash away.
I really think she’s good in comp because more often than not, it’s organized chaos, and she gets a lot of value from the AOE healing, keeping dive characters off your team, and a shield that can give you safety in healing your team and cancelling ults with your ult.
@@trevorsteadman1322I havent played a lot of her since OW1 and ive been slowly learning that I'm usually in the corner trying to wait for whipshot to come off cooldown so i can inspire, or protecting my other support from divers/projectiles. Its a little panic inducing because I feel the need to do more damage or secure kills. But then I shield bash too aggressively believing my other support will keep me up and there you go im dead
I feel useless sometimes I suppose
This might be asking for too much but I wish they buffed bash to 60 dmg and whip to 80
Also love watching ml7 brig ❤
She’d be broken again lol
@@lewiswilliams62 provably, she'd be able to one shot 250 HP squishes during rally
Yo I think they should buff her healing like in mirror watch make her repair packs also now give life steal to her allies I think at that point she’s a top tier support and if possible give her the empowered shield bash ability similar to doomfist power block
@@kingclampz6081 I just wanna add that I feel like they should increase shield hp a bit maybe 300 or 350 Idk, bc
@@hattiebattie any buff to brig is a good thing
you are such a good brig!

Brig ML7 gameplay yey!!
YAYYYY BRIG!! 💗💗
It’s crazy cus all the usual doom posters are crying about a brig buff to make her ult actually feel good when blizzard literally gigabuffed the best ult in the game in the same patch.
nocab
BRLIG METAH?! Samito is somewhere raging into a microphone right about now 😅😊
He doesn’t mind Brig in ow2, she is not the worst hero design
did anyone ever say it wasnt? shes always been insanely strong and they keep buffing her for some reason
