We in America had Our own North-South civil war between Brothers (and Sisters) in which Slavery came to an End in this country. I am struck by the melody of Auld Lang Syne here, which was the song that General Grant had his army band play when General Lee surrendered to him at Appomattox Courthouse in Virginia on Palm Sunday in April 1865, which essentially ended Our civil war.
I understand the original South Korea national anthem also had the Auld Lang Syne melody as well. It is truly Sad to think that there will probably always be a North-South division in Korea....unlike in Vietnam and America, whose civil wars were Ended.
