i was also a cdt from when i was 13 and stayed for 7.5 yrs, my first ever flight in my life was at 13 in a winch launched viking glider at raf west malling it was amazing and i loved it, i was also lucky enough to get my name down for a week course at 16 (same place) to try and go solo which was able to do a lot did but some did not make the grade, the aeroplane i did it in was ze600, i have kept all my stuff from cdts as a keep safe, i still my book pilots notes notes signed by the trainer all of my badges that are sewn on my rank sliders, i kept everything i was allowed.

@@SVsPassion yes it is amazing fun, not always but you need to put your name down for pretty much everything even the boring stuff and all the good stuff will come i did so much stuff i ran out of space in a number of areas in my book, i had my name down for the doe and a para jump with the person but it didn't happen because the person left, i have been on a camp every year from 14 and one year i did 2 camps because there were 3 spaces and me and a couple of others went my last camp was overseas in cypress and the reds were doing their practice there still and i got to see them loads i also got my name in the hat to be pulled to go for a ride but it didnt get pulled annoyingly, i have been in helicopters and loads of stuff but i did used to do everything so if you do that it will get noticed i also got to the top rank where you have an interview with the grp captain.
