This poem/song and the rest of the album helped me to overcome suicidal depression in 93 I was 21 back then…big time. I love her since then…. Sea people / it’s a fine day / stars in my pockets, etc. ❤❤❤ ❤❤
@Troy Master She doesn't have the face of a child, but the face of a youthful woman; there is a difference. What I find beautiful about the singer is not her initial looks in particular, but the overall appearance of the aesthetic she is trying to convey in the video (e.g galactic, other worldly type being and the fact she is able to embrace a shaved head, yet still look very feminine). I myself am a young female and I simply admire how confidently and boldly the singer is able to present herself and express that creativity. I understand where you may be coming from with your comment, but there is nothing malicious or weird about what I was trying to say and I am sorry that you viewed it as that.
God! This entire album blew my mind in 1993! I fell in love with her, and the band. Along with what 808 State and Orbital had been doing, this was the soundtrack of my life at 32 years old.
I remember having both their albums on cassette tape and wearing them out back then. Her songs are about world peace, inner peace, meditation, etc. Something that is huge now in this re-emergence of New Age philosophy nowadays. I think back then you couldn't go to one rave without hearing at least one Opus III tune. Beautiful voice
Her biggest song is a cover, she probably never wrote or produced anything, she was probably coddled with her vocals; she was just a pretty face of neoteny overload accompanied by new age visual and audial aestheticism as was in vogue at the time. Vapid, inane and banal posing of the day is all.

LanNeUrchi BomBom Yes my friend! King Crimson are original composers of this song. They are the legends of progressive/avant-garde rock. I highly recommend that you investigate their music and other Robert Fripp's works.
This is ace, id never heard of it before, even though I grew up in the early 90s as a teenager I never knew she made this! Its not very often you get to hear a new great tune thats 90s rave style :)
ohnoitisnathan26 there are two albums, Guru Mother and Mind Fruit, both are awesome and I bought both! :D I think evolution rush is my favorite song, but they are all stellar!
2018 going strong omg thank you way ahead of your time I feel 18 again after going on 26 years after add it up I'm old but this music forever in my heart!!!👦👦👽👽
I love Kirsty Hawkshaw's voice, so angelic ... Release the Joy is one of my favorite tracks. A little while back I read a review on, "Guru Mother." I thought the criticism was a bit harsh citing that, "it doesn't live up to Mind Fruit." I love both albums but that's just my opinion ...
This is actually amazing. I used to be a big fan of KC's debut album, and the song was one of a few highlights of the album. When I learned this band, which I've known had covered another great song by Jane (It's a Fine Day), I was simply taken aback, because there was no way such a wistful, pastoral song could work well as a dance track. However... I am really obsessed with the end result. Usage of "the wind cannot hear" part as the main hook is genius. I love this so much.
I'll have the original version by King Crimson, thank you very much. Having said that. I wonder how this song would sound if Kirsty did a version with the French band Air.
@@wessley4606 Why are you listening to it? My guess is your latent homosexuality brought you to find it and then you didn't like it, so you had to shit on it because you found out it wasn't just for gay people. My advice is to accept it and come out of the closet. You might need a crowbar since you are firmly ensconced.
i know it from mcdonald and giles' album also. its awesome to witness the spirit of that song and era evolved in this track. this chick was really with it.
Wonderful. Disagree with the King Crimson conservers and I like KC. In the world of Tiesto, Guetta and Van Buuren this is still or again so relevant. Great song, great version.

She's so mf underrated and so unbelievably gorgeous
1000% she's something special 💙🙏
Still singing today

@Troy Master FUCKING WEIRDO RIGHT HERE, FOLKS!!!
@Troy Master you're the creepy one, noticing she has a "child face"

Wow, I'm about to be 32 years old in just 2 months and am feeling that.
Her singing sounds like there is an angel singing, it's really rare voice
This is exactly what I feel when hearing and seeing Kirsty perform. It feels supernatural and heavenly.

So you know, she didn't write this song, it's a cover from King Crimson.
Cringe

how is this heavenly perfection possible on earth
Lily Parmenter i think it is the product of love and respect
Because earth is that special! Live like it!
Kirsty's voice has haunted me for the 25 years since Guru Mother. She's a wonderful, sweet human being.
Another King Crimson fan joining the party... Absolutely love this version, it's so completely different but still captures the vibe of the original
WHEN ART WAS ART
I never heard this cover of the King Crimson song before, but wow, it works surprisingly well as an electronic song.
❤😅😊😅😢❤❤❤❤❤
No me canso de escuchar esta canción !
Kirsty is so beautiful, when she was bald she was so stylish. Her voice is so ethereal.
This is definitely interesting. As a King Crimson fan, I haven't known of this version until today.
As a fan of Opus III I haven't known of this King Crimson original version. Looks like the versions are totally different.
LanNeUrchi BomBom Yes my friend! King Crimson are original composers of this song. They are the legends of progressive/avant-garde rock. I highly recommend that you investigate their music and other Robert Fripp's works.
And I highly reccomend you check out more opus iii, both are great bands
5 years later, and as another king crimson fan, I also just discovered this version.
yeah i am very confused by this version but honestly i'm lovin it
Opus 2020 and forever.
Years ahead of our times, even in 2016! Fantastic.
With Opus III everyday is a Fine Day...
A true masterpiece by a musical magician! WOW!
All genres aside, Kirsty Hawkshaw fucking rules on these tracks. Shame Opus III didn't do more albums with her!!
man, I soooooo miss this type of sound. It's perfection
Way ahead of its time
the entire album / cd is fantastic
WOW, I forgot how much I loved this album. (no drugs involved)
Are you sure no drugs were involved, be honest.
This and it's a fine day are just fantastic tracks. You know when music brings back memories that it's a track worth listening to over and over again
Opus lll the most chill band ever
Chill? It's pure of progressive

INSANE that they only had a couple of music videos!
so create and fun to watch, Kristy and the boys were awesome!
highspacefox From what I can see, they only released 4 singles (though each had a video).
ohnoitisnathan26
there are two albums, Guru Mother and Mind Fruit, both are awesome and I bought both! :D
I think evolution rush is my favorite song, but they are all stellar!
My alltime top song. Some kind of techno-dance rising of UK Progressive House
Beautiful voice. Loved her since the early 90s
thanks for the moment.

If levitating was scientifically possible I would be doing it right now.
It's more fun to do things that aren't scientifically possible.

Thank you for letting us know Katy Perry stole your look.!
Beautiful, Kirsty Hawkshaw. She looks like Joan Cusack's hot, kid sister.
風にいくら語りかけても、吹き荒れる風はわたしの言葉を吹き散らして行くだけで、何一つ聞こえるはずもない……
I wonder if Mr.Fripp gets down to this jam.
Sounds like some of the flute passages from the original are sampled here.
underrated
Wonderful. Disagree with the King Crimson conservers and I like KC. In the world of Tiesto, Guetta and Van Buuren this is still or again so relevant. Great song, great version.
I didn't even know this was a cover back when it came out. One of my favorite songs back then.
