"Veda means knowledge it doesn't mean religion " perfectly said.
By calling it knowledge gives the monsters a. opportunists to stake claim in Hindu knowledge as theirs. Just take a look at how yoga in Europe and americas is taught by the white privilege who do not welcome Indians as bottled blondes think it belongs to them and mislead that the origins come from China.Chinese also claiming yoga is originates from Chinese.
But it is through religion that one's gains Knowledge.
So respect both. Respect Hinduism it is a True path to a True Goal.

@xavier3585 whilst you are right, the example of the Buddha is a rare example. Even in Buddhas example He Himself teaches the eightfold path, etc if this is not religion then what is it? The person who you are saying gained knowledge, has himself taught a whole teaching which people are following as a religion - for the purpose of gaining knowledge.
True religion practiced truly leads to Knowledge of God. Hence why Taliban are not attaining God.
My comment was out of my utmost respect and deep reverence to our Holy scriptures, our Holy sects of Sanatana Dharma, our Holy Saints, our Holy culture, Temples and Land. I feel many people want to nowadays dilute down the importance of Hinduism, and dilute down Sanatana Dharma. They dont like the word religion, for whatever reason. Hence my comment was a show of utmost respect towards Hinduism and I was point proving - showing that let's not disrespect our mighty religion and separate it from our scriptures. It is like trying to separate the world from the sky. God is the world and He is the sky. He is the book, He is the path given in the book, He is the goal of the path, He is all of this and none of it. This is religion. You can try and separate it but you can't separate the sky from the world no matter how hard you try.
The importance of Dharma is paramount. Bhagwan Krishna repeatedly emphasises the importance of Dharma. Though english language does not have the depth to accurately give a translation for Dharma, Dharma can include the meaning "religion".

He is not indian but he understands and recite Gita so fluently but very few indian could do this
You don't have to be Indian or anything else to master something. You can come from any culture and do your sadhana to become a Yogi or millionaire or a sports star or a tech genius.
Which proves that even this religion is not the answer for everyone. My question is, then if full knowledge is what is necessary to know God, wouldn't one need to study EVERY religion and philosophy ?

Krishna also said, no matter who you worship, ultimately those prayers will reach me. It's not necessary that we Hindus worship Krishna only. No matter who we worship, it's all the same until it is done with good intentions.
No hatred, accept everything, not imposing Hinduism on anyone but welcoming all those who want to know more....

The fact that Hindus don't go around converting and telling how great their religion is, is what gives it mass appeal. Once ppl take the time to do their own research they realize the inevitable. I was born Catholic. I researched all religions and they all have their pro's and con's but Hinduism made me hungry for more.

tasya - of him (Lord Śiva); anudhāvataḥ - who was following; retaḥ - the semen; caskanda - discharged; amogha-retasaḥ - of that person whose discharge of semen never goes in vain; śuṣmiṇaḥ - mad; yūthapasya - of a male elephant; iva - just like; vāsitām - to a female elephant able to conceive pregnancy; anudhāvataḥ - following.
Translation
Just as a maddened bull elephant follows a female elephant who is able to conceive pregnancy, Lord Śiva followed the beautiful woman and discharged semen, even though his discharge of semen never goes in vain.

He was deeply religious, he used to read namaz 5 times a day but when he understood how deep hinduism is he was convinced how deep it anwers all the questions although it is the oldest religion he was deeply touched by the knowledge in hinduism

Absolute perfection ! This is what everybody needs - to transcend beyond religion and go towards true knowledge. I love how he responded to the question. Most people would get defensive, going into a lengthy diatribe of how one religion is better than the other.
@Sambhav Singh It is the reason why we have different yoga pathways not just Sanyasa yoga (complete renunciation) and all pathways lead to the same destination. If one has correct understanding of correct vedic metaphysics, then everything makes sense. The non doer experiencer athma can be mimicked in action as well eg Karma yoga
It is the reason why we have other pathways like Jnana yoga and Karma yoga. Jnana yoga is like fasting and Karma yoga is like keto diet (which mimics fasting). Jnana yoga is the fasting of manas which can be practiced during your free time. Karma yoga is action without creating karma or cause and effect also called as Inaction in action (by sri krishna). Those who practice Jnana yoga for more time eventually becomes Jivan Mukth (experience the cosmos 24/7 despite the action of individual human body) which also means karma yoga or dharmic action will be very natural to them. eg Ad-shankara, Sri Krishna, Rama etc
Abrahmic religions always try to prove that their religion is the best Hinduism encompassing without being prejudiced You can follow Hinduism and still be a good Christian / Muslim

Is it logical/sensible to say that the All-Powerful, Creator can be represented by matter. Idol worship is exactly that illogical, non sensible thing. phew..that muslim guy just brushed closeby with the reality of this universe. He is so steeped and conditioned that if he ever breaks free and grasp sanatana dharma he may just collapse.. These Abrahamic faiths are so brainwashed about "otherhood" that they have never really experience knowledge. Its like some suddenly told them about gravity and then it all fits in. Its not about religion or believing in hinduism.
