Benny and Bjorn were on stage while the girls did a costume change. It was amazing and I still get goosebump when I hear the opening couple of notes. As a pianist, Benny is a master performer, he just about rocked his keyboard to bits…at one stage he was bouncing so hard he dislodged the foot pedal and was playing with one hand and trying to put the pedal back with the other….totally amazing.

By the way Intermezzo means "Interlude"; literally something you put in between. In classic music it's usually a pleasant and less demanding piece of music, placed in between two acts of an opera, a comedy, etc. Like a slice of salami between two slices of bread in a sandwich, pardon in a panino.

I feel blessed that '77 tour was filmed in the Movie!It carries all the colorful 'sweaty' excitement and elecrtic interaction betwwen ABBA and The Fans!

Besides the unique voices of both girls in ABBA songs, his piano plays a vital role. It adds ABBAness to their sound. I can't imagine anyone singing this as a song, though. ABBAMAN.. this was definitely a surprise song from this Amy is quite the master and it shows here in this composition I don't know how you could put lyrics to it although Bjorn could possibly do it I just think Denny had the song kicking around and wanted to include it on the album which I'm glad he did. He is an astounding musician and composer😊 after all these years there must be in number 2 version floating around?
You should check out Arrival too, the only other ABBA song without lyrics. There's some vocals in there but not lyrics really, and it's an amazing piece of music imo
Taken from Abba-The Movie. The main actor in it, Robert Hughes, would later go to prison on a pedophile conviction. Left Abba in an awkward position as it's near impossible to remove him from the film. You'd be just left with concert footage-which aint a bad thing. As it is, the film remains intact and you just have to try not think about the main actor's future fate.
To watch the live track BEFORE the original track was a fault, but you could not know it. The song has a piano and guitar-led instrumental and was a showcase of Benny's classical music influences and what else the two men will do 10 years later with their musical CHESS. btw. I love this instrumental song alot.

I was in a theater class in high school, probably around 1978 or 1979, and we had to do an “interpretative dance” to music. I picked this one and got a standing ovation afterwards. Lots of “visuals” going on in this song.
