I know it would add a lot of cost, but if you have temporalis you can use blink + lingering illusion (with persistence support gem) to generate power charge. It works in hideout so no enemies needed, just need to blink roughly 10m away from your initial spot. This would let you just blink around for power charge and have only 1 button bound, flicker. Could maybe do cast on dodge profane ritual too for even more charge. I’m leveling my gemling to try it but not there yet.

Well, PoE1 is a complete game with 12 years of development, and PoE2 is in Early Access with 50% of a campaign, 33% of character classes and skills, and very unfinished endgame. So it makes sense. I think that 2 years from now PoE2 will be much better than PoE1, but it's not finished yet.

It's 4 points to get, the prerequisite is literally a 0 benefit ascendancy since you should already have the attributes for everything, and all the "double attribute" node gives you is life, mana and accuracy, no actual attributes or stats from stuff like Pillar, since it only doubles the _inherent_ benefits of attributes. It's a total waste, especially at 4 point cost.
You wouldn't really need to take it unless you have Mind Over Matter. At least in this part 1 video he doesn't have any mana problems, and is using Grim + Ghost so stacking life isn't too important.

how come sometimes my flicker strike ends early even though i have enemies in range and still have powercharges left to spend?? it just goes forward once or twice and stops even though everything should be perfect to chain

@@AuroraTheFirstLight I run this build on a Chalupa and it works, but I am only in T12 maps, and my damage feels a little low. I am limited by the technology of my budget. Just a few good drops and maybe I can lift that damage higher without having to use my plague finger wraps again. My backup ability is Tempest Bell and Whirling Assault, they hit hard and fast enough for me to stack pin up against bosses.

@@AuroraTheFirstLight Poison damage is 20% of the combined physical and chaos damage of the hit dealt as chaos damage. What's weird about it is the wild variance of the hit damage. From 25 to 100% the damage of the hit as extra chaos. But once all the buffs are going, after a few warm up hits, it really lends itself to benefiting the new cap. Once I get a flicker going I can run for around ten seconds clearing pack by pack. The charge generation is still a pain though. I haven't switched to the amulet since I need my spirit for running Blasphemy. A large portion of my survival relies on that instant mana leech going to my ES though. So I am limited to primarily physical hits. Herald of Plague is nice though for how easily it spreads your damage. No fancy setups with dual heralds or uniques. I just wish physical damage staves weren't so expensive.
Wouldn't Three Dragons helm (makes lightning damage contribute to freeze build up and has all ele res) be a better choice than Call of the Brotherhood since what we actually care about is the freezing and we can get more value out of rare ring stats, especially once we farm enough for ingenuity?
With my friend we tried it without the charges and only full dex/strenght like 900 dex and big attack speed with Caged God staff it was faster than charges flicker strike with good dmg you can try it
there's a bunch or new power charge tech folks have been in the lab figuring out--the illusory dodge + minion pact + profusion on autoattack (or something else) to consume it for free instant power charges on dodge triggered profane ritual also tends to outlast the flicker duration, allowing you to instantly restock on power chargers after flicker ends, without needing to take the charge conversion to use frenzy buff also apparently flicker DOES have aoe, though that is mechancially just the flicker teleport/target attachment range, rather than damage splash, so for example increased aoe support makes you flicker to targets farther away
For someone poe 2 (and 1) mechanics challanged, how do I level this? got to act 2 boss and cant push through. Im aware I probably shouldnt just blindly follow the tree and skills, still not sure how.

Haven't finished the video yet but I think you can check out the "new" no-charge flicker build. No need to try to sustain power charges if you get a shit ton of attack speed. I think that could be a better option on very late game/higher investment because you don't worry abt charges and it is as strong as before because howa/stacking is just broken. Also amulet can be changed in that setup for a better one I guess.
Nice to see that you can get it to work but I am so tired of every build going the same route in the end. Att build go ES/evade, Caster go ES, Melee go... ES... really hope they fix this mess soon

Dear Magefist this char build is so awesome i'll try it on my next (second) character when it gets cheap. I'm amazed on your depth knowledge, was already for PoE, but hey this is still on beta and gets better every patch ^^ Can't say insta sub and like because i do that from long ago :)
It's all or nothing. You cast flicker, it checks your current Power Charge count, it takes it all (or not, that's what the chance not to consume them is for) and then adds all the charges' benefit onto the skill use. That's also why infernal cry works; since you technically only used the attack once, all hits benefit from the empowerment.
If you're already using infernal cry, you might want to swap to a strike skill like tempest flurry to clear instead of storm wave. Herald of Ice + Herald of Thunder is strong enough for clear, and gaining combo you can then use mantra of destruction since it works the same way as infernal cry in buffing the entire flicker strike as one attack. Tempest flurry is also very quick (if you have enough attack speed, it can even substitute movement, thus enabling you to buy strong boots for cheap without the need to look for movement speed) so the requirement is hardly an impediment. Also, playing with strike skills enabled tempest bell which can also be flickered on iirc, and there's no need to elaborate how big that is on bosses

infernal cry is prob not a bug, you are doing one attack, which happens to have multiple hits.

Yeah, they really wanted to kill flicker in PoE2. Chris honestly never liked it as a primary attack skill in PoE1 either.

flicker has no AOE, cant double hit the boss, its not like other strike skills that you do 2x damage.

Flicker uses all charges he have chance to not use any charges thats why not everytime all charges fades

Perpetual Charge support gives 35% chance to not use charges, you'll still use up charges most of the time
