    I am so grateful I came across this. Absolutely mesmerizing!, from the harmonic analysis so full of ideas, never saw told so well that they stick right away, to the elegant playing of this fantastic piece. What a journey!

    Excellent. I'm relearning piano as an adult and I really appreciate that you went over a bit of the theory and chords. Thank you so much.

    Hello teacher of a not very concentrated and lazy student in Martel 30 years ago !!! It’s incredible, you do not change and your expressions are the same 🙃🤣. I had a lunch with Christian V. today and we remembered you. I wish you the best. Pierre-Yves

      Haha, lovely to hear from you Pierre-Yves and more than a little envious of your lunch with Christian. Bisous from me. Very happy memories of Martel days in the music room on the first floor of the town hall, with my talented, fun loving gang! Hoping very much to get down ...Brexit and Covid permitting, before too long. Very best wishes, J

      And you may like the sound of the added 9th (2nd) without resolving it.

    Thankyou, a really great exposition and examination of this piece. I have just started it as part of my Grade 4 preparation and really appreciated the breakdown and understanding of the chord structure, Coming to piano at the tender age of 68! Why was i put off as a teenager?

    Hello Julian, with the arpeggiated chord on the first beat of bar 20, can I take it, it is ( and always is ) played, from lowest to highest pitch, i.e. in this case, F, Bb, then C ? Thanks.

    • @JulianLambert
      @JulianLambert  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, absolutely right Liam. The 'default' for arpeggiated chords is bottom to top.
