This was a fun one. Especially entertaing to see you constantly spend more HP than you intended.
Basically, demon is a too busted character to combine with almost any character. XD
I guess one of the reasons why you find it harder is because you didn't go with ghost scepter which is one of the main hp resources.
Also, after certain waves when the defense/healing stats had been built up, the cryptic part can be ignored. Breaking the tree to find crates scales way more than just stack up that minor material.
Haven't watched the whole video yet, but this definitely feels like a build that would actually benefit from padding, since it gives you some health from the tree money before it converts at the end of the next round
The way going down to 0 HP actually works is you are given 1 HP to play with, but you’re in health debt. So the next HP you earn or buy doesn’t actually bring you to 2 HP, you remain at 1 HP but your HP debt is now paid off. Similarly if you go into negative HP (for example you buy an item that costs 2 HP when you have 2 HP, but one of the item’s stats is -5 HP), you will be in debt for 5 HP, and the next 5 health you earn or buy won’t actually increase your health, it’ll again go towards paying off the health debt. You can see this happen in the first few waves when you don’t gain HP from your first level up. 4:44 5:59
Also on wave 9 when pondering the order of effects for piggy bank and demon passive, the piggy bank gives you money at the start of the wave, while demon passive converts at the end of the wave. 17:00

Many months on, did anyone check to verify that the order in which you selected your characters didn't influence which wave-end ability triggers first?
Piggy bank kicks immediately after leaving the shop so it's always good on Demon

I started the game a week ago and i am still too much into it but i wondered if anyone had classes to advise me. I have bought artificer and engineer and i liked the fact that they are realy into one type of weapon or way to play the run

how does cryptid sick work?
You'd have to break trees to survive, probably one of the most challenging to actually impossible runs depending on your luck wrt crates and the shop. The one upside is you can safely ignore both regen and lifesteal.
