My favourite Mrs Pargeter adventure yet. Had me laughing out loud so many times. Thank you for posting this series, makes my workday that much more enjoyable.
A confusing collection of crap. I tried to stay interested but quit 2/3 of the way through. I make a point of finishing books, but this one was a relief to give up.
@@sarabrett2119 Interesting, albeit unnecessary, snark. Perhaps it's because I just finished reading several books by Somerset Maugham and was looking for something less intense, but cohesive. While I have found other Brett offerings met the mark for (very) light entertainment, this one fell far short with its overabundance of silly monikers."Tying things up at the end" should be smooth, not cumbersome. Still.... each to his own. No one expects this type of book to be high brow.

A dry sense of humor, and a knowledge of previous books helps me appreciate this. Knowing the genre he's making fun of helps too.
I wish you a long life Mr Brett - love it when you narrate your own stories. Here’s to more books🥂
Very enjoyable, lots of new characters & lots of old friends. Many thanks xx
Really enjoyed the way Simon Brett reads his work. True genius.
I ❤ Mrs Pargeter 🙂
Thank you Mr Brett. Such fun.
You make my day on this bleak winter's day in NZ.
Simon Brett is a genius!
Agreed. An excellent narrator, adding multiple levels of enjoyment to the series.
Just wonderful! Has me laughing out loud.

😂 this is cracking me up! You probably have to have a dry sense of humor to find it funny, but im rolling!
Gotta love the monkey!
Love these books. Are we ever going to find out what line of work Mr. Pargeter was in?
Big robberies
Profitable, undisclosed, discrete criminality.
Thank you!
Excellent narration, I love the accents and individual idiosyncrasies! Funny and calming. Thank you
I really enjoy these books. Thankyou 😊
Love this book. Thank you!
Perfecto...Reading!!!
Thank you
I’m gone! I put this on to put me to sleep but the music and ads won’t work.😮
I've learned not to listen to these Brett books when falling asleep because of the music. Enjoy them other times, though.
Such an enjoyable series.😊
The sound becomes very unstable from about 4.00.00 and stays bad until 4.50.00. pity
Warning: Not long before the horrendous music that has been inserted prior to the last chapter, this bootleg recording gets very garbled.

Such a shame with all the ads

Too many ads😢
1st ad 1 min in.
only made it 1 hr and 20 min and already at least 10 ads, good story but have to move on to another

But you a coffee?? Ha! You have way, way too many ads! The books are ruined!😖
Ads? There wasn't a single one, when I listened.
ditto. i am not paying for YT.
The sound quality is terrible shame but I can't listen to this

It's a shame you aren't able to keep track of the storyline... Everything is so beautifully tied together at the end of all the Mrs. Pargeter books.

@@lynnem3300 Sorry, I realise I did come across as snarky.

Probably needs an IQ higher than the room temperature to be able to follow.
