16:47 "wench plate" lol. I have this plate on order for my 08 JKU Rubi so I wanted to know what I was in for. Great video. Okay, 17 minutes and 30 seconds. If it takes me any longer than that I'm going to take my thumbs up back. ;)
Good points? 1. The design doesn't end up increasing the overall length of the vehicle. This is good for those of us who park our Jeeps in a garage and have a large motorcycle stored in front of it... Bad points? 1. It might decreases the airflow to the radiator and thus cause your engine temperature to increase. 2. The mounting location is higher, so it might result in more of a bending moment when under load and thus would not be as strong as one that was more inline with the bumper. 3. The few bolts which are actually attaching it to the vehicle are readily accessible and someone could easily steal the winch + mounting plate + roller fairlead...
Not really. When I use it on something low like an atv that got barred. It squats the front when drawing in the cable. But normally I did not see any sag.
Great videography. Best video I’ve seen of vacuum pump relocating.

I'm picking up a used one this weekend for $40. How do u like yours?
Great step-by-step install! I might just do this to my jeep!!!
Great video dude. Do you notice any issues with the winch in front of the grill? Overheating type issues.
Hello Hiker.
Enjoyed the video. Have you since gotten off road and been able to get stuck (I know . . . in a Jeep?) and use the winch to get unstuck?
Thanks for the video it’s very informative.

Thanks so much. Appreciate the sub.
That looks great.
My winch plate is a Rockhard brand plate (part# RH-5010), it is one piece identical to this one, not as much steel (lighter), and two bolts.
Good points?

Be carefull with the accesories from the grill and with all the air the winch could stop from entering into the engine it could heat
One question....Did you use loctite or did the kit come with lock washers? Thanks for the good step by step and helpful tips.
Did the front of your jeep sag after installing the winch?
