My mum and I love wathcing horse related videos on youtube. Sadly she is not fluent in english, that's why i am so happy this video have so little words. We can watch this together with equal understanding :) Thank you
Tyler is like a horse/mule whisperer. He grew up riding, like many generations before him. It's in his blood. He is skilled, confident, and capable. I think the horses sense that and respond to it. Anyone would be lucky to have a mule that Tyler has worked with!
So, do the Mules experience a sense of accomplishment (and attendant confidence) upon successfully completing these tasks??? Would be awesome if they did!
This looks impossible! How many years riding does it take to get to this level for the mules & for the human? Could you bring a non expert rider on this kind of ride? Please post more vids
It might be a natural thing to do for the mule - but the rider has to have good balance and CERTAINLY good core strength so they aren't flopping around.............
Just saw this. Impressive! I am thinking of getting a donkey as a hiking companion. Are donkey's as surefooted as mules? The idea is to have the donkey carry load, not riding it. Thanks!
the donkey is where the mule gets the sure footedness from, so yes! From all I‘ve heard they can be a hand full though, so maybe look into getting a well trained one, preferably with some guidance from the seller. Or even have a trainer with donkey-experience you can call up. Though if you‘re looking into walking companions you might like some of the smaller pony breeds aswell. I‘m thinking original shetlands, not the fancy show ponies. Those are a lot more sure footed and a lot smarter than the big horses, too and can carry and even pull a lot (were used in mines and also homesteads for just that). You might have a bigger selection in trained ponies than donkeys. You‘ll definitely have an easier time finding an experienced trainer. And anywhere you can go walking as a human a donkey or shetland will have no problem going aswell.
Wow, just like Mark from "Pack Goats"....have to teach them "how to slide down the rocks (lumber)"..... Mark would say "teach them how to fall". I see the Mules doing the same. Great control over all four hoves, and understanding how to "stumble gracefully".
What the cost when this senseless trick go wrong! ???? Oh I guess you’ll just pull your gun out and shoot the animal that trusted you? Then you con go and get another animal!!!?? What we coming to!!!
I love how sure footed these mules are and I certainly hope they’re rewarded greatly for their hard, death defying work.
And here a legend began...

Putting a horse on a similar trail would shatter it like glass... mules are CRAZY
I have a mare that is half fjord half quarter horse...the most sure footed animal I've been on...but darn I'd like to ride a mule

Are you using boorman or driltex on your mule shoes
Amazing
How many mules get broke up training for this ?
Zero. You start them slow on little flat rocks.
@@BroncsAndDonks Here in EIRE we dont have Broncs or Donks . Lots of rocks alright,
👍🏻🇨🇱
Not trying to be a cocky ass hole, but I've got a TWH that can follow right in those miles footsteps. He's a beast man 💪
