hello. The difference between light wrap and normality is that light wrap makes the result of compositing more natural by compositing light on the edge of an object. It is a technology widely used in film and drama compositing. Normality extracts a normal map from an object and applies various effects such as three-dimensional effect or light to the object. Since it reacts with the normal map, you can create a light that reacts to the bending of an object. However, there is a limit to extracting a normal map from a 2D object, so good results can be obtained by extracting a normal map from a 3D object. 'light wrap' can be a better choice if you only synthesize light at the edge of the object. However, if you need to follow the curvature of an object, you should use 'normality'. 'light wrap is much easier. The normality plugin works on Mac, but it doesn't work if macOS is the latest version. The normality plugin was released a long time ago and is no longer updated.

It worked fine at 1080 and 4K. I haven't tested it beyond that. If the light wrap is cut off, the light wrap source and footage must be pre-compose according to the current comp size for it to work properly.

Installing the Light Wrap plugin is not difficult. Just unzip the downloaded file and place it in the plugin folder. No installation process required.
Adding the lighting effect doesn't work for me, for some reason. :/
For this effect to work, the image you want to apply must be an alpha image with no background.
