This picture reminds me of Deer God from an anime. A human girl was chosen to be the God of the Mountain, but because she started to feel sad because she was atached to her family, in the end the spirit of the mountain decides to choose a Deer/Stag as the next God. I think the anime was named "Mushishi Tokubetsu-hen: Suzu no Shizuku / Mushishi: The Next Chapter - Drops of Bells"
I also wanted to comment about that. It actually feels reassuring, it's like when you come back home from a long travel and you lay in your bed feeling safe and protected. I love it
Reminds me when I was heavily tattooed Buddhist monk. One of my mentor, knew I went through a lot, witness death, he knew my family he was even there during the passing of my mother. He took me under his guidance for 15 years. Every morning I meditate, I seek the enlightenment of Buddha as I always had been since I was a kid. I just took a wrong turn and my mentor was a old man during mid of my meditation and the process of healing he told me you know I use to have a wife and a kid. I was like oh? Theveda Buddhism you are not supposed to have kids, so I was shock, he told me his wife and kid was killed in a by stander drive by. He told me I never sought revenge and vengeance, I suffer so much pain, and anguish, I’m slowly healing for Buddha has taught me the four noble truth. That really hit home for me. In life, calm and peace was we all try to reach, I think people find it in their own and healthy way, as Buddhist monk for 15 years it’s best to spread compassion, understanding, and patience.

I used to listen to this video when my family was still together. I would go outside with my bb gun and shoot a metal trash can lid while playing this. It was always raining in the morning and I would come back inside soaked. My dad would smile at me and ask how many times I hit the lid. My mom would laugh and tell me to change out of my clothing. My parents got divorced and I live with my grandma now, it never rains here. I miss my family. This video reminds me so much of the best days, and it makes me sad, but I'm glad to have found this music after so many years

So, it might just be that.
