N24 is by far the best race every year. 140 some odd cars, 24 hours, and on the most difficult track in the world. Doesnt get any better

I've been watching weekly crash comps on youtube for years, your's are ao so all encompassing and they come out so quickly. The work load for this must be crazy. So many of your competitors have quit or gotten struck down. Thanks, man. These are awesome and you do a killer job!
Is it just me, or does there seem to be a loss of respect generally across Motorsport?
Motorsports has always been that way it’s just becoming more accessible and more publicized.
Why people would fight over racing cars, when Everyone can make a car by themselves, and go to racing against them and actually win it

I agree. There is a lack of respect between drivers. Fans have become more and more tribal. Drivers don't even respect the flags and officials. There are noteworthy exceptions i.e. club racing. There is little to no contact due to the fact that most everyone has to pay for there own car and the racing is more respectful because everyone has to go to work on Monday.
cars became more safe, more stable and the driver try and risk more...
sometimes they over-estimate their own skill, the car, underestimate the situation and here we go...
it seems like in the last ...lets say... 10 years more _unprofessional_ professional driver somehow made it to well known racing series.

10:18 Schwedenkreuz is such a scary corner holy cow.. It's almost like it's designed to unsettle the rear, making you over-correct and fly into the right-hand wall at mach 1 like this E30 did. I suppose the Nordschleife is designed to unsettle a car's suspension, it being a test track and all. It just wasn't designed for the kind of speeds modern cars are capable of lol

Wheel-to-Wheel contact with David Reynolds broke the steering combined with fairly wet grass.
Those classic Nurburgring crashes made me cringe so hard every time… At least they crashed while doing what they were built for
I agree! I was surprised how brutal those crashes were. Kind of scary to be racing those bad boys at the nurburgring so competitively.

I don't know what it is, but in the last five, ten years there seems to be an ever increasing preventable accidents, between vehicles?
yes some of the amateur gt3 classes look like an average acc open lobby (online driving in the assetto corsa competitzione simulator for pc)
Also the south american racing seems to have completely careless head through the wall mentality.
Besides that I am not sure. Can you elaborate more on what yo mean? Do you see it in all classes and all skill levels?
I think it's just coverage getting better and every incident being shown now, whereas before there was a lot of bad driving missed by the cameras
Idk how much this relates to sports car racing but the older F1 guys have mentioned that because of the increased safety, drivers sometimes make ballsier moves because the chance of them dying or getting seriously hurt is so much lower now
