- RM 9001 long range (upto 5 meter) UHF RFID Reader interfaced with Arduino using RS232 to TTL converter (MAX 3232 IC).
This circuit was used for protoype toll gate in an undergraduate project work called Electro-Magnetic Induction based Road (EMIR) which was funded by Expo Live, Dubai under University Innovation Programme.

I have a problem with the signal is weak from rfid reader because of the placement of the reader. It's that any solution from the configuration of the rfid reader?

Hi Ramprasad, nice work. Can this antenna read 13.56 Mhz cards and this reader is only connected to the 3.3 V or is it connected to an adapter?
The reader tht used will work for frequency ranges between 800 to 900MHz. UHF range

Hi sir , I hope I'm not disturbing. I heard you mentioned integrating this project with gsm module in your other video, My school thesis group is having problems in making it work because the Arduino is confused because the two of them uses txd . Any advise on how to make it work?
Probably too late for your project but -- be aware that the Arduino Mega has multiple serial ports, which solves your problem.

Hi. it can detect multiple tags but RFID detected by the tag is sent one after the other.
I Need Help, Can it detect Multiple tag at the same time? I need to a scanner which is able to read RFID Sticker from 3/4 meter away and Multiple tag can be detect perfectly, and shouldn't miss any tag.

Yes u can use it
I hv not used other UHF RFID readers
But procedure remains same. Using the software provided by the supplier few parameters have to be set like work mode communication mode.

This UHF reader has an operating frequency around 900MHz plus and minus. Any UHF RFID reader can be interfaced with Arduino.

The reader costs around 12-15k, the tags are worth 50 pesos for one piece. The tags can be modified, you can PM me if you want more details about the device

Entrance and Exit are the same. What if there's a power interruption or Brownout can the device will still work ? Thank you in Advance. :)
Hi.You can get RFID stickers like salik stickers. We purchased that else you can go for card itself. Along with RFIDS reader they give us 10 to 15 tags.There is an option to edit the tags using the software provided by them. Cost of RFID reader is USD 130. I paid USD 50 for shipping in addition to this cost.

Hi. Once RFID tag is detected, arduino can send a digital signal to output device may be LED or buzzer. The driver may be needed depends on type of output device and its specifications. It it is just an LED indicator then direct connection is possible.
Can it read multiple tags at once? I mean this reader. Not your software. It is called group reading.

Hi. if you are just reading a tag then you need not use purple (RXD) pin. Ground (Black) & TXD (White) are only needed other than Power supply pins.

Hi thanks for watching. if you are using Rx pin other than hardware pins (Pin 0 is hardware Rx in Arduino Uno and mega) then you need to use Software serial library . I used that library as did not use hardware Rx pin for Receiving.
