I love how Scott explains about how he 'made a film almost 30 years ago...called 'Alien'' like its something really obscure that most people won't be familiar with. For some reason that tickles my funny bone.

Considering how historic, intelligent and wealthy this man is, he's so down to earth and never forgotten his northern roots! Can't wait for the sequels and Blade Runner 2! RIP Tony.

Prometheus is a masterpiece to many of us. One of my favorite films now.

Great! Thanks for uploading, saves us having to trawl through the podcast. Interesting to hear Scott speak directly about the prospect of Blade Runner II.

GK_Knight Have you seen 2049 yet, if so: how did it meet your 2012 expectations?

I thought it was funny too. I love how he's so casual about it because he's Ridley Scott and he's made a lot of great movies, ho hum.

Ridley Scott is a very smart guy and very interesting to listen to but Prometheus was disapppointing because he was too focused on the visuals to realise how shit the script was.

Not a comeback, it's an opinion.
Also Prometheus was a masterpiece and the greatest film of the year. I suppose you're a rival director if you would want someone as great as him to "retire" LOL

I liked the visuals of Prometheus and ive read the org draft, and looked at the concept art etc... And im sorry but i have to say that Prometheus was such a wasted potential imo.
    Peace.

It looks nice but it's by no means a masterpiece. Maybe if you can ignore the poor and irrational plot, the science denial and the sanctimonious and fallacious philosophising, then ya there might some entertainment there. However there is only so much disbelief I'm willing to suspend.... ....boy were the characters thick. Love Ridley's Blade Runner, however I hope he doesn't do a sequel going by Prometheus. Not a rival director just a scientist and a fan of intelligent movies, Prometheus ain't!

  • @Ch4osW4rrior

In fact he should stop making movies after Prometheus.

    Ridley Scott.....the most eloquent hack.

    • @Nineteen1900Hundred

He's not eloquent. And he's not a hack.

    • @loveallthepeople1000
      @loveallthepeople1000 7 ปีที่แล้ว

You're right, he's not eloquent and when he understands a script is shit instead of trusting the person who wrote it he will cease to be a hack.....making me wrong twice.

Terrible nonsense as an excuse for a film.
