I'm brand new to the game and there's still A LOT I don't know how to do, but this is the BEST instructional series on TH-cam for SoD2. SO WEIRD that you just came out with this series right when I decided to start playing. I have to say this TH-cam series is the only reason I'm still playing. Thank you!!
not weird at all. There are billions of people in the world, someone wins 100 million dollar lottery, and someone just thinks about a tutorial and someone on TH-cam makes it
You should learn how to play and do things your self I really don't get why videos are made like this I know to 'help' people but it ruins half of the enjoyment of games experimentation and figuring stuff out on your own.
Just here to support your video's algorithm. Started playing a few days ago; beat Green Zone super easily. Being a Sod1 Vet, I jumped straight into Lethal Zone, having a grasp of the mechanics as well as all of your tips. Boi.. let me tell ya something you already know: 100% Lethal Difficulty whoops our arses. FAST.
I just started playing and was super lost. I watched the first video of this series and now this one and feel much better about what I should be doing. This is a great series, thank you!
29:50 When I first started playing, I'd get nervous when I saw sleeping bloaters and start sneaking. Worried about waking them up like they were some dangerous op zombie. 🤣
Started a playthrough like this on Meagher valley because of your recommendations. Found a repair van while looking for gas for my car. so awesome first car.
I'm playing with action difficulty dread, community difficulty nightmare, & map difficulty legal. Just by grappling zombies and throwing them and using the dodge more accurately I've gotten 2 times better than what I was at first playing dread zone. Awesome shit!!!
Hello, love the content. Just wanted to mention that your face is blocking the spot where the 4th and 5th skill of the character is listed, and as a new player those are some of the things I look for when trying to learn from other players. Just something I'd like to mention for your consideration. Looking forward to part 3
For breaking down weapons i would only break them down when you have at least one salvage furnace mod installed in a facility unless ofc you have no parts and absolutely need something like a car toolkit. Salvage furnaces give 50% more parts and can be stacked up 4 times leading to 200% more parts from breaking down weapons, if your playing on lethal and plan on using explosives to kill hearts you will need a ton of parts to do so. For Trading try to always sell to allied enclaves as they will give you 34% an items value whereas neutral enclaves or wandering traders only pay you 25% of the value. Also on lethal map you almost always want to buy rucksacks from an allied enclave especially building mats and meds, meds combined with plague samples can make bulk plague cures which are a great source of income midgame.
Came back to SoD2 a couple days ago and this series prompted me to try the harder difficulties. The lethal world setting does make the game way more immersive and fun. The flood of gear on normal made my first time playing way less interesting. Thanks for the great vids.
This is so educational and I've got this game too I think it's amazing and I'm always playing it to get further in the game I'm just struggling try to get outpost at the moment
Man, you got lucky with that enclave location. I just started the game and the only one I see is pretty far away, behind 5 infestation zones. I wish I had a closer neighbor like you have here.
For someone who have played the first state of decay a lot and new to sod 2 i was surprised and horrified to find out that juggernauts are now immune to fire
I had a beetle mallet, 25 pounds 9-10 hits it took, but i mustve had atleast 30 plague zombies appear so i used my car to run them over, upgrading my workshop to level 2 to get toolkits now
Brian guess you will become the No1 for SOD2-Content. Yeah i miss the other streamer, but there is no content for SOD2 to watch on his channel, so i moved here. Your videos saved my ass on Lethal :-) These little tips like the thing to park the car against a wall are really useful.
@@tippingdipping4657 I like rustys has good built ins but there both great the fenced warehouse is amazing but it just doesn’t have any built ins really so you have to build everything yourself but it’s the more flexible base
Another great video. Thank you. Just want to know what is the decision making process on establishing the outpost? Do you do it to somewhere far away or base on some kind of reason?
My first outpost location I try to put somewhere I know I plan on doing a lot of looting that has a lot of buildings around it so its effected by the safe zone of the outpost but after that I spread them out so no matter where I am on the map I can stop somewhere to restock or swap survivors without having to travel super far
im abit late for this series. i have not bought the game yet. should i still start first game with the difficulties you have shown or should i try easier to learn my way around first.
I would suggest even easier just go green or standard until your a little familiar with how things work but you can still follow the guide with easier settings 😁👍🏼
I ran into a bloater so many times on my first playthrough, but I didn't loose anybody. Occasionally I would loose a allied enclave because of unfortunate circumstances.
@Deftones8326 Thanks, I hope you are enjoying it. I've now completed it 4 times, 3 with Quincy and once with the females. I like being able to make the mines so prepare Quincy. I just hate the feral smashing up the cars as it wastes the parts needed for making the mines.
i put like 10 hours into my playthrough yesterday to collect all the special cases, loot ammo stuff, craft .50s and wait for missions to get good guns. got 2 timberwolfs while doing that, on from the eagle eye mission. soo today was the big day, bc i already had 9 ppl and was still at the starter base, i drove down to the firestation base and cleared all 7 hearts. had scentblock from the mission where you have to escape with som guy befor a bazillion zombies get you. so, sidearm shotgun, timber and gooooo. was fun. best thing though was a random network mission where i was able to finally buy a m4x1 dmr heavy. finally the first one on my steam acc. hope i'll get the m4 with 100mag size this year too 🤣 soo what i nearly never do, and that might be why i'm so bad, i almost never use stamina stuff.
Brian, where are All Med outposts for Trumbull Valley. Can't find them even with tower points. I feel like an idiot. Does Turnbull have less than other maps
yeah there are not as many as other maps but the vet up in spencers mill mil tent across from starter base, there is a med spot in marshall near the court bulding.
This is hands down the best guide out there. My game looks very grainy at night. Does anyone know why? Motion blur and film grain options are turned off
I was under the impression with hordes u can reverse your car through them basically insta killing then without inflicting any damage on your vehicle ?
Do you have to be using that specific character with the medicine skill when crafting meds in the menu in order to gain experience points. Or can you be playing with any character and the character with the skill automatically gets the experience. Question also goes for other skills as well.
Right thats wat I was meaning influence but true isent it worth it .... if you us the back of your car method that you showed us lol that actually really will help when I get the game ... I used to have it but my ex stole my xbox and all my games so now gota buy new stuf
Just subed you! And going over the videos of this game! Do you know the best place to get a cheap steam key to game? Or know when steam have a sale next time?
I have probably stupid question but if your base is all fenced in like this starting area base I started at how in the hell can the zombies get in if everything is boarded up N fenced in🤔 and how do I aim the molotovs to throw is it left click mouse to bring up sight to aim🤔
There are some open spots where they can climb over and they can break open the doors it’s a weird system honestly and to aim Molly’s they go in what ever direction your cameras aiming but if you aim like you have a gun with the right click you can also throw them like that very accurately
hey guys. i was playing this game like 3 years ago and quit doing it since it lacked some late game content. would you say, i should give it a second shot after a bunch of updates? pls respond. would help me out a lot

Will running over the zombies in reverse damage the car
it will not take engine damage as long as its the back cant be the sides or the front

No it doesn’t matter because you are 100% refunded for anything you build so take you time in the starter base and make sure your ready to move
