Correct sir. I agree with you. But after working for 27 years in career after 2 MNC , 1 Big electrical company and now in telecom service provider. I don't think I am using more than additions, subtraction, multiplications. The only knowledge that helped for 27 years in Microsoft Excel, Tenders, Some accounts related things like VAT, CST, Sales Tax, GST etc. That is all needed. What helped me most in my career is Microsoft Excel in all companies. In fact programming languages like Basic, Fortran, Microprocessor 8085 helped me immensely learning EXCEL
Sir what about placements and mnc companies visiting campus for hiring? I feel it's much more important for students to join in any private engg. college

Dude, if you are doing CSE, why bother about GATE. GATE is for higher studies, CSE students can get good jobs right after B.E. Focus on getting good at CSE. That might be better.

Learn of C++ on Caleb Curry Channel Then learn Python using FreeCodeCamp channel. Note: Most of these videos are 8+hours long, so download size will be around 1 or 2 gb. Please do ask me any doubts.
