I thought it was very informative. Maybe slow down the technique so a novice like myself can grasp what you're saying. Keep your voice more relaxed and less monotone
Thank you! I think it was this one. www.amazon.com/Spoilboard-Surfacing-Diameter-Flattening-NITOMAK/dp/B07ZP5RXRP/ref=sr_1_7?crid=3EO7FEG5LAZX1&keywords=flattening+router+bit&qid=1694265232&sprefix=fattening+bit+ro%2Caps%2C90&sr=8-7
Do we need to kiln dry the wood before cutting or planning for removing moisture content ? If yes, how long should we kiln dry and what is the optimal moisture content required ?
nice job, at 75 years old, and doing a little woodworking over the last 40 years this was a great video, this old dog learned a new trick or 2, thank you!
You might find that the bowing is because you didn't have a clamp in the middle? Great video showing all the options for people like me who don't have every machine and a huge workshop! Thank you
Awesome video! Thank you for the indept detail you gave. One thing that has always gave me a hard time in my head is making jigs and how to measure them to your router and the way you explained everything helped me out greatly. Thank you
Consider a 90 degree back stop so you can just push it back and over. Not make it or break it decision, but it should help enough considering the minimal effort required to set up this 90 degree stop
Incredible video, thanks for sharing your knowledge. If I had one critique it’d be to show how to clean up the burn out/slight routing issue on the handle. But that’s nitpicking, this was a masterclass thank you 🎉
You’ve got an amazing shop setup brother, love your processes & attention to detail. Glad you mentioned the pine, I have a ton of it. Are there any other projects I could use it up in this same glue-up fashion? I just love the way the alternating species look. Don’t mind me I’m an amateur lol
How crucial is it to have all the boards to the same thickness before gluing? Will having them within a 32nd be an issue, could the planer take care of that?
Sooo much effort was put into this video just for education purposes. When you could finish the project less than half the time. Really appreciate it. Great results 👏 👍 I think you should separate fast project to educational ones in different channels. But you know best 👌

Dude, this was exceptional. This is a perfect step by step, I've always wondered how you do what you do from watching on tik Tok, this is so helpful
Thank you so much!
Legitimately one of the best spoken and descriptive videos on cutting boards I’ve ever seen. Awesome job!
Excellent video, thank you!
Great detailed video Jason! Do you have to have a link to the flattening bit?
Thank you! I think it was this one. www.amazon.com/Spoilboard-Surfacing-Diameter-Flattening-NITOMAK/dp/B07ZP5RXRP/ref=sr_1_7?crid=3EO7FEG5LAZX1&keywords=flattening+router+bit&qid=1694265232&sprefix=fattening+bit+ro%2Caps%2C90&sr=8-7

Outer (edge) - counter (clockwise)
How much is it worth
As much as someone wants to pay.
Yes. Perfect.
This video was awesome. I love that you showed multiple ways to do something depending on which tools you have. Thanks for sharing!
I have this cutting board and my sister spilled bleach on it
Did it penetrate thru the finish?
Great video! Only thing I personally would like to know is how you made your juice groove jig for sanding the groove.
Thank you! I think I made it with a router.

I mix bees wax with mineral oil. Let it set, then use that as a wax coat. Works well.
Thank you for the personal information. I completely forgot about the Closed Open Graiin knowledge. Saved me a headache.
You're welcome!
I think you did a great job on the cutting board explanatiknand you added e great jigs too!
Thank you very much!

My dude loves his clamps!
I really like the sled you built in place of a planer. Not everyone has an extra $500 for a planer, lol
Yes!

awesome
I hate palm routers, so I tend to use my router table for edge work

Thank you! There are lots of projects to use with pine.
Man, that board drop off that table saw was scary
You can never have too many clamps!
Extremely well explained. nice work.
Incredible video and very detailed! Thank you so much for explaining in such great detail and showing all the steps. God bless!
Glad it was helpful!
Nice to see you experimenting and going with it despite not having g a clear idea on selling them. YET
I am not sure what you mean. I have sold over 600 cutting boards. I don't sell them anymore, because my videos make more money.
How crucial is it to have all the boards to the same thickness before gluing? Will having them within a 32nd be an issue, could the planer take care of that?
The boards don't have to be exactly the same. Yes, the planer will take care of small differences.
Where did u get the mini roller
White oak is closed grain... red oak open grain. White can be used in boards as long as it is properly waxed.
Thanks for the info!
Awesome video. Great tips on how to be more effecient with router sled. Will definitely try that soon.
Glad it was helpful!

Thank you! That is a good idea.
Very interesting. Lots of steps and work to make a cutting board.
Yes, it is!
How do you do the juice groove without a plunge router?
Your video is very informative, but your voice is very monotone
Great video
Thanks!
