Thanks for the video! I only found your channel a few weeks ago, but it’s quickly become one of my favorite Lego channels. The audio on this Q&A video was great, by the way, I know the last one was a little tinny and echoey, but this sounded great.
Thanks! Due to feedback we received, we have changed how we use our mics.
@ May I ask what you did differently? My initial thought was trying clip on Lavalier mics, which I think I’ve seen podcasters use for in-person interviews. But right now I can’t remember if that is the setup you had before. 😁
Good to hear you guys are open to reviewing/discussing other brands. There's so much cool stuff happening in that space now, so it would really be interesting to hear what you guys have to say about it since your reviews are smart and thought provoking. At this point, some of my best building experiences and best-looking sets have atually been non-Lego.
Great video! I love your take on lego, had to find the picture of the new modular. I'm totally on board with it being a fantastic set❤
Omg, just looked up that Tudor corner… I’m not into city modulars at all… but I may be for just that one
Great video guys. Hope you find some good deals this weekend.
Great video! I too love the look of the upcoming Tudor Corner. Completely agree with your assessment and ranking in the pantheon. PAC-Man is an amazing set. One of my all-time favorites along with Starry Night. You should definitely not miss out on it.
I like these videos with both of you guys presenting. What are your names (if listed on info page I'm sorry I don't see them)? I commented previously on your stylish but practical shelving -- really adds a cool vibe to your videos.
The GWP are working, for the first time ever I will buy a set on day one for the gwp..The Endurance, I feel like the gwp has to be part of the set.
That new modular is the best one in a long time, so I may just get another day one set. Remember when Parisian Restaurant hit the shelves and everyone had to have it and it was sold out for weeks, I can see that happening this time, modulars has needed a decent tavern/public house. Plus it looks like it has the height to not be overshadowed by other buildings, which Parisian Restaurant does not have, mine is on show but feels hidden. I have to see that picture again of that Tavern, you could moc it to fit in with Medieval Blacksmith and the village...Looks like I need two of them.
You would love those old Lord of the Rings sets, the 2 castle sets from the big battle at the end of the second movie. There are many soldiers... This was one of few occasions where the main set can be extended by a smaller set. They did this this year on a smaller scale with the new Harry Potter Great Hall set and one of the 2 Harry Potter advent calendars.
Great video! I meant big as in a big number of gwps (English isn't my first language so maybe that's not how that's said) but they indeed seem to be bigger with the higher thresholds, which now that I'm thinking about are sometimes insane, being 250+ bucks but Lego is very expensive so sometimes 250 bucks is easy to reach, even with 1 set.
There are some good rebrickable MOCs available for building customized versions of upscaled minifigures. I just built a Santa Claus upscaled minifigure and I'm really happy with it.
It's mainly the Rogue and Wolverine figures from the Mansion that are a bit off, primarily a colour opacity issue. You can see it on Rogue's torso where there is some colour bleeding. The issue with Wolverine is the legs.
I really enjoy this line of videos that you do. I had a question about minifigures. You said that you are not as concerned with the minifigures as you are with the building and look of the sets. My question is would you ever skip a set if the figs were really bad?
Would luv to see Funwhole videos 😉Thanks for another wonderful video
Their newer sets are amazing. Generally better than Lego, when you consider the brick quality, features, and pricing.
@@SO-ym3zs I couldnt agree more 😊
Such an unfortunate name. But yeah they look great at least based off the reviews Jang did.
They are rebranding and changing the name, I've built 8 of their sets and am building the hunting cabin right now, its quite impressive 😊
@@logansmith2703 Honestly, they've put Lego in the shade for me. I'm much more excited for upcoming Funwhole sets than anything Lego has coming at this point. They're that good. And for anyone who loves modulars, they're an awesome company because they have so many to choose from. You don't have to wait forever like with Lego. In a very short span of time, they just released a theater, skate shop, and record store, with a motel coming soon. And that's just the modern day, realistic stuff. They also have medieval, Old West, Cyberpunk, Steampunk, etc.
I use Minifig scan to know what CMF are what. So, far, it has worked fine.
I'll have to get the endurance because of the gwpon black friday, I feel like the Shackleton minifig should have been included in the set but I'm getting it on day 1 anyway to also get the gwp with the minifigs.
Great video... wish i could see your Lego city.
Here's the last video we did with our city: th-cam.com/video/kLDj3pNwPHI/w-d-xo.html
We'll be updating our city in January though!
Minifigures are the best part about Lego 😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏
Interested on your thoughts regarding using BDP palette as way to determine retirement dates. I tried my hand at designing for series 6 and now 7. For both series there are no minifigures from the Lion Knights’ Castle available but there are the minifigures from the Medieval Town Square. Since these will be produced in 2026 could we theorize that LKC might retire at end of 2025?
2000 dollars+ for those shelves.. the channel must have grown alot...
is the one reason i didn't buy this. i just finished redoing my winter village gingerbread house which took 5 ish years to turn yellow. it was not a fun process. have decided in future if white models yellow they either get recolored or scrapped. i have a motorized lighthouse I'm not looking forward to , but yeah the garden looks great, i just don't want to deal w it in the future
