I have been driving my 2002 explorer for a month without turn signals. I wish I came across your video earlier in my searches. It was clear and concise. The additional info on how to test the relay really helped. I thought since the flashers were working, the relay was good. Your video should be the first on that pops up when anyone searches for turn signal problems. Keep up the good work and Thanks again for your video..........Joe Zarnoch
This video helped me out so much, did the job in 10 mins super easy with the small flat head screwdriver. It popped right out and the new led flasher only cost 15 bucks. Thanks again for the info.
Man that sucked! My arm and hand are cut up lol but thanks, I saved so much money. Every shop was telling me it was the turn signal switch shoo I replaced it and it still didn't work. You really helped.
This was truly a pain as Kyle has stated, I tried to remove the whole fuse/relay box but it is blocked by a plastic guide for one of the many wire harnesses, used the screwdriver approach after that and blindly removed and replaced the relay, it worked for me.
I just replaced the turn signal/driving amber bulbs in my 2000 Mercury Mountaineer with LED bulbs. They look SO much brighter & better looking than the stock bulbs. I'm getting the hyper flash now, but after reading about how to replace the flasher & how to install load resistors, I'm going to just let them hyper flash. The money & the labor just isn't worth slowing down the flashing rate to me. The blinkers are on for what, 10 secs at most?
Hi man, I need to change the flasher relay on my 2007 ford mustang, recently I LED the lights of my car, but ohhh sorprise, the signal lights hyperflashing when I turn on the switch, and I saw some videos about it, but I´ve not solved my problem, I´ve couldn´t find where is located the flasher relay, I hope you can help me, thanks!!!
So my new led turn signals blew the relay, just finished changing it now and my hands are only a bit torn up, buggers couldn't make the fuse tray flip down could they?? Anyways for anyone doing the LED upgrade this is in fact easier than installing the 4 resistors, but is double the price. Definitely something to think about especially if theres no metal around your light housing to mount the resistors on.
Suerte!!!
Its located in a very uncomfortable spot. So to reach it you gotta get on your back on the floor of your Explorer and if your a big guy your screwed... So did the relay work for you?
So judging by the comments I'm guessing most of you would say adding resistors to each LED light bulb is easier? after all you've got the light housing out to change the bulb anyways.
kazymerchyk To tell you the truth I never put the resistors either. I just left the signal lights in hyper flash and when they burn out Im just gonna replace them with the regular bulbs. Too much hazel in my opinion and the hyper flash is annoying as hell...
Why does ford make everything so complicated? My Honda had the fuse box visible and you could easily change any fuse without special tools and training

dont use load resisters. get the right flasher for a buck or two

+Isaac Garrison Nah they just blink faster... Hyper flash...
+Angel Gonzalez mine seems to blink slower than the original did but its not a big deal I drive my mkx more
O gracias por el video xq estaba a punto de comprar uno para mi troka si no sirben ni para que comprarlo mejor los load resistors
Son para prender la luz intermirente cuando das vuelta a tu derecha o isquierda

Ford did not have a better idea when it came to replacing fuses and a flasher unit in such a tight area
Ford sux

Y para que sirven esos
Buena pregunta!!! A mi no me sirvio para nada...

This is unbelievably impossible. I can feel the relay, can't see it or remove it. Tried for two hours, hands bleeding. Guess I'll do without.

Finally, I'm no longer a bmw driver!
Lead lights lol. LED hahaha
I think they mispelled your last name. They probably confused the *G* and the *V.*
Thats why you buy load resistors. Do much easier.
