it was a clean saw to begin with. should have replaced the spur drive as its worn badly and clean in behind the clutch area and grease the needle bearing for the spur drive since you were half way there. another quick tip. if you think it may have been seized, pull the muffler off and check the piston as its this side that scores up. also check the spark arrestor on the muffler for being blocked up with carbon. see if you adjust the H screw too sounded way to lean. and a little more on the L

I dunno if I would agree ...I've never owned a husky but my stihl 026 is almost 30 years old and runs like a beast never been rebuilt yet
