Married a wonderful man (still married over 15 years now!), but about 6 months after we got married, ex started messaging me trying to, idk, reminisce? Told me I was the best he ever had, then ASKED ME IF HE WAS BETTER THAN MY HUSBAND!!!!!!! The freaking audacity. I take solace in knowing that he is still single, has been in and out of jail for drug charges, and has gained about 120 lbs, meanwhile I look better now than I did when I was with him.... after having two kids.
I dated a great guy in college, thought he was the one and we were making plans to marry and me move to California when I finished collge....but then day after our anniversary, he left a instant message telling me he wanted to take a break, which turned into a breakup 4 months later when he sent me a letter; I don't begrudge the letter, he was living across the country from me, but an instant message breakup message when I wasn't even home....that was pretty spineless. that was almost 20 years ago and I've since found a wonderful man who has invited me to live with him, but I've told him that I want to wait until I can be independent with him, as in work in the country and contribute to our finances, and he is supportive of me.
So this wasn’t an ex-partner but an ex-friend. She makes dumb choices, always drama, on and off with POS hubby, always bailed on me and treated me like crap! Haven’t talked to her in about 6 months. I work at a financial institution. She texted me the other day asking if I’d refund her overdraft fees. Ha! No! Make better choices.
