Thanksgiving in our family is at my mother & father's house this year. They're about an hour away from our house. They have a beautiful 2 story home with a formal dining room, an eat in kitchen, & 2 connected living rooms. There's 8 great grandkids, 11 grandkids & significant others, Myself, hubby, my 1 brother & my sister-in-law. So we certainly require the space. We have a formal meal with ham, turkey, mashed potatoes & gravy, green bean casserole, corn, stuffing, sweet potatoes, deviled eggs, chicken & noodles, and lots of desserts. Apple salad, cobblers, cakes, etc. We just eat and visit, generally share what we're thankful for, the past year. And the children just play together.
Christmas is chaos LOL...😂‼️ With so many of us, extended families, There's most weekends are filled with different families, getting together. We celebrate at our house Christmas morning, with our 4 daughters, the 2 son-in-laws & 3 grandkids. I generally buy Christmas jammies for the 3 grandbabies...and they all come to Nana & Popa's house wearing them, to open their gifts. Then honestly, my husband & I just relax when they all go back home (or to their next family get together). After 30 years of Christmas preparations, for 5 daughters, all together...we deserve the break 🤣‼️
The Saturday after Christmas, is always back to my parents house, we do the formal meal again, and open gifts from them etc. The Saturday before Christmas is supposed to be with my husband's side, but my Raiven has her gymnastics recital that evening.
Phew....sorry....that was a lot!! I'm exhausted already, thinking about it.

Hi Renee, she's so beautiful, I love her outfit, it's so pretty. For Christmas, my husband buys whatever meat him & my second daughter will eat, my youngest daughter & I don't eat meat, so we're just going to have a veggie burger with our Christmas Dinner. We open our presents on Christmas morning & after dinner we go to my parents house & play bingo. My oldest daughter is at university & she's coming home for Christmas, so I'm looking forward to that. When my children were little, they used to open their Christmas stockings on Christmas morning, then after dinner we would send them on a hunt to find the rest of their presents.

I love her name sweetheart and it fits our summer is just perfect for her! On Thanksgiving we do pretty much what you were talking about Christmas. We have turkey or ham or both. Usually we have at our house on Thanksgiving we have both we go to my daughter's the day after Thanksgiving she owns a restaurant so we all meet there now and we have mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing, green bean casserole, sweet potato casserole and tons of things along with pies and cakes and everything! And that Christmas will be going to my next to oldest granddaughters this year and it'll either be turkey and ham are it'll be ham all the other fixings as always and it'll be on Christmas Day! We open our gifts on Christmas Day and then we just lay around until it's time to go to my granddaughters this'll be the first time going there this year and I'm looking forward to it to be with my grandsons! Thanksgiving is roasted turkey, green bean casserole, and here in the South, it's cornbread dressing with cranberry sauce. It takes me most of the day to get everything cooked but it's nice to see everyone enjoy it! Summer is so adorable!

We do fried Turkeys, for Thanksgiving and sometimes on Christmas. If we don’t have Turkey for Christmas, we do a ham or roast. I have six kids and my mother and mother in law for the holidays, so lots of people around. I do all the cooking and decorating, but I love it. She is adorable and her name is perfect for her! ❤️

Thanksgiving we’ll be all together with our family. Roasted Turkey, corn bread, cranberry sauce, stuffing! And same for Christmas. We usually go to the midnight church service which is beautiful. But we may switch that up this year and do an earlier service because midnight is tough with the kids. We have pasta, fish, rib roast. Lots of desserts!
What’s it like having Christmas in the spring? I guess similar to having Christmas here in FL…warm lol!

But really it’s no different than down here because it’s warm as well. The midnight service is definitely hard for the kids sometimes but we finally got home after 1am and then Santa still had to come lol!

We all share the same thoughts and similar traditions. It’s such a beautiful thing.
Well actually I guess what I mean is similar in that they’re all excited in the same way, we all want the best for them in the same way. They all make their parents crazy at some point in the same way no matter where they live. I don’t mean physically they are all the same lol. You know what I mean!

🌹 Hello Renee🌹 Ooohhh wow what a beauty😊 I love her name i think its beautiful😊 we do not do thanksgiving in South Africa but for Christmas eve we do snacks and for Christmas day we go to church and then open gifts😊we usually do a braai ( barbeque) and sallads and then pudding usually trifle our summer starts in December and its really hot then so we do not do roasts and you know hot meals☺ if we do roasts we do them eary so it will be cold meat and sallads oh and then with the meat we also do hmmm in my language we call it TONG well translated it would be beeftongue 😀 🎄🎄
