Thanks for those details. After 19 years & 300,000 miles, my Tundra Double Cab LTD, 4.7L V8 with TRD & All Weather package, is suffering frame rot even though it was part of the recall campaign. It was sand blasted & re-undercoated, but the frame rotted from the inside-out. I just got word today that my 2023 Tacoma SR Access Cab, 2.7L 4 cylinder base model is finally moving after having been assembled for 5 weeks already. It should arrive at my local dealership in 2 or 3 days here in rural Western Mass. At 73, I'm expecting that it will be handed down to my Son, it will probably outlast me. lol

I have a black 23 tacoma trd pro. When i purchased it , i didn't really noticed the paint imperfections since it was dark already when i got to the dealer .
The next morning i noticed a bunch of bubles all over the paint , well it was more the clear coat. Took it back to the dealer and they took care of the bigger ones quarter size or larger.
I still have a few bubles around the truck , i haven't taken it back to the dealer for the other smaller imperfections.
The service department said they had to use a heat gun to remove them of the paint.

I owned a 2020 se5 and had the same issue with the fender being higher than the hood, I also ran into an issue with the roof rack holes, some were completely covered by sheet metal and had to drill to be able to install the roof rack. Yup... 2022 and beyond are being made in Mexico, so this is what happens. I don't know what they're doing differently over there, but the quality issues being reported have only increased ever since that happened. Why are you complaining about the paint of a truck being used outside you were in a rough environment, splashing, mud, dirt, rocks, sand, etc.. superficial defects should be the least of your worries, if anything worry about the motor of the truck, if you’re that concerned, Kevlar wrap it for extra money🤦🏻‍♂️

I’m not going to agree or disagree until I have experience with one. But I will say, I will NEVER buy the first year or a “new” anything. Look at some of the issues the Tundra is having.
