Listening to this has just catapulted me back to the Doune Castle, a pub in Shawlands, Glasgow, where everybody from Simple Minds to the Berlin Blondes and Positive Noise started out. There was a Greek restaurant upstairs and if the bands were playing too loud the manager, Nico, would hurtle down the stairs and yell “You make-a the peas jump on the plates!” I vaguely knew Peter and was/am delighted by his subsequent success. But he’s better at acting than singing 😅 !
He's so cute and so in love with his wife. Saw a clip of him at a scifi/dr who conferance and someone asked him how he felt about being viewed as a Silver fox. He had to ask what that meant. Then was a bit flustered. Anyone not already in love with him fell in love at that moment.
I actually like this. It's super weird but if you're like me and you already dig super weird angular post-punk music like Plain Characters, Tactics, or similar... this is super similar. It's strangely catchy and I can def hear The Doctor's voice here, which is neat. :)
This song, along with two others, was released The Dreamboys on the record in 1980. All three are available on YT they were digitized by fans at one time
I can tell by his dramatic punk note intonations, he must have been an angsty artsy teen/young adult in 20s 😂😊 totally adorable.

This is the best thing I've read all day. I'm going to be telling everyone I know about "You make-a the peas jump on the plates!" for *weeks*.
I can't get his Dr Who voice out of my head.
omg yesss same here
YES! IT’S MY BOYS BAND!! PETER AND CRAIG!!!
does capaldi know he’s the coolest man alive 😅
and you look's like be lovely and sweet
Right? I don't have a favorite Doctor, but Peter is MY favorite person to play the Doctor

Totally Awesome!!!
Their drummer is Craig Ferguson....amazing!!!!
He once drummed for Nico , yes Nico !!
Peter actually got better looking with age. Looked a bit strange in vicar of dibbly with his crazy hair. Looked dashing as the 12th Doctor.
Well on tv they give him expensive costumes and makeup and hair before every shot.
He definitely aged like a crisp, bold wine ❤❤❤❤❤❤ his smile at age 60 😊 so cute
Woah! What character was he on the Vicar of Dibbly?! I only know the stupid, dumb blonde and yes yes yes yes yes 😂
@@FIXTREME he was only a guest character. He was one of Geraldine's. Potential romances
I had a crush on him back in 1988 when The Lair of the White Worm Came out.
Dont forget the Late Night Revolutionary Craig Ferguson too!
less revolutionary, more odd one out
I found this cause of doctor who but
This is sick
You know, I actually like The Dreamboys a lot.
Thanks for sharing this.
A bandcollege of mine looked like a young capaldi. I wonder if He will look much better too when He is older.
This is cool. Thanks
I didn't know Peter could sing. This is impressive
guys I think he can hardly breathe in here
I really wish I could understand more than a few of the words 😔
It all comes of not being Scottish, I suppose
@umka2002 I'm curious, how did you come across this song, and from where?

Um.....hmn.....as an alumni of 3 punk bands myself, this is....interesting?
Ho my god😂❤️
Is Craig in this iteration?
No, the song was recorded before Craig joined the band.
I wonder if this is where Jello be offered got his sound
Craig Ferguson is the drummer..lol
Dear God , wtf!!!
Peter’s right, it was a horrible band.
It's even worse than I'd imagined.
Lol why? The song has a great vibe:)
Ah man, this is pretty decent post-punk for a student band. Don't be a downer, you're sounding a bit like Neil from the Young Ones!
