    Crazy how fast the sport evolves. Just a few years ago Toquinho was tearing (pun intended) through ADCC until he ran into Galvao, who he gave a very competitive match. Now he's had his back taken as a result of the defensive issues surrounding his leg attack entries in most of his matches against modern BJJ players (Gordon, Tackett and Garry.)

You have an ability to not only do the art, but articulate it on a level that some of the most advanced people I've ever had the fortune to trained with are able to do.

      @@WilliamTackettBJJ are you completely natural? I find it hard to believe that you tore cartilage in your ribs and were competing in a high level grappling match against a known ped user two weeks later. I ACTUALLY had that injury like 4 years ago and couldn't laugh for the first two weeks. Something tells me you're lying or youre on PEDS. Like I said, youre 19 and out grappling a drug cheat, I doubt youre natty.

      @WilliamTackettBJJ  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@kyloren6536 yes sir, I have never taken any form of PEDs and don’t plan on it 💪🏻
      I actually was not better at all competing against palharis, the night before I could barely sleep cause of the pressure on my rib from laying down.
      I was supposed to not compete. But my replacement dropped out the day before so I was forced to either pull out and mess up the promotions card or try and do the best I could.
      In the first min of the match, I actually felt that cartilage tear more in one of our exchanges.
      This is also why I had to pull out of the match after and couldn’t continue in the bracket.
      And I had to take a bunch of time off training after this to allow it to heal.

    Palhares was probably the most terrifying because at one time he was one of the best leg lockers in the game, he’s jacked and nick named after a frickin tree trunk, and unless a ref saved you when he got a submission you were going to get crippled. I can’t imagine the psychological effect of knowing his rep before a match with this guy.
