Crazy how fast the sport evolves. Just a few years ago Toquinho was tearing (pun intended) through ADCC until he ran into Galvao, who he gave a very competitive match. Now he's had his back taken as a result of the defensive issues surrounding his leg attack entries in most of his matches against modern BJJ players (Gordon, Tackett and Garry.)

Like I said, youre 19 and out grappling a drug cheat, I doubt youre natty.

@@kyloren6536 yes sir, I have never taken any form of PEDs and don’t plan on it 💪🏻
I actually was not better at all competing against palharis, the night before I could barely sleep cause of the pressure on my rib from laying down.
I was supposed to not compete. But my replacement dropped out the day before so I was forced to either pull out and mess up the promotions card or try and do the best I could.
In the first min of the match, I actually felt that cartilage tear more in one of our exchanges.
This is also why I had to pull out of the match after and couldn’t continue in the bracket.
And I had to take a bunch of time off training after this to allow it to heal.

Palhares was probably the most terrifying because at one time he was one of the best leg lockers in the game, he’s jacked and nick named after a frickin tree trunk, and unless a ref saved you when he got a submission you were going to get crippled. I can’t imagine the psychological effect of knowing his rep before a match with this guy.

    • @WilliamTackettBJJ
      @WilliamTackettBJJ  2 ปีที่แล้ว +11

He was definitely one of the strongest competitors I’ve faced!
He seemed to have a ton of concentric strength (like a clam)

There is no such thing as jujitsu.
    There is only Pankration.
The practice of Submission fighting In Europe ended with the Roman empire.
It said that the 12 gods of Olympus gifted the Greeks basically the Minoans with the art of Pankration.
This fighting style involves acrobatic, striking, kickboxing, boxing, wrestling, and submissions.
During the Roman empires rule they had put laws down on Greece. These laws were for the Greeks not to be able to practice Paganism and Pankration.
It was illegal to practice these and anyone to do so would be jailed or enslaved.
The gladiators in the Roman arenas were Greek Pankration warriors .
The Japanese had stolen this art of fighting and claimed it for their own.
If you Google the origins of karate you will see that it comes from the island. Crete. That's why it's called karate. It sounds exactly like the name of Crete the island where it was originally invented.
I'm just same island. Not only was mixed martial arts invented but the heart of Europe.
I come from this bloodline called Minoans.

Huge respect for roiling with that ahole, i really dislike him the way he slap push ppl in the face , i really want someone to do the same thing to him, After Rousimar taps his opponent should just crank extra hard and then stand up with a shoulder shrug like whaaat, he is truly one of the worst grappler in terms of dirty tricks and zero respect
