As kids, way back in the day, the 70's, we used to crimp Piccolo Pete's in the middle with a pair of pliers which would make the whistle explode like a firecracker half way through the whistle. Anyone ever do that? Being in CA we didn't have much in the way of fireworks, and firecrackers were scarce, maybe outlawed back then so we made do with what we had. 😁👍😎✌🗽

I think it was even tighter back in the 70's. We did get m80's, firecrackers, and the larger m100, and m200 I think from kids who went to Mexico so did have a bit of fun with those.😁👍😎✌🗽

Those small mines are common in selection packs over here in the UK, they used to sell them as single items when fireworks were still made here, we can buy bigger versions but the smaller ones are just in selection packs.
I've found that Black Cat, once the best in the business for family purchase bang-for-the-buck, has become a real hit-or-miss. I usually pick up just a couple of cakes from Black Cat, and they've generally been worth every penny. But I don't get a many of their smaller cones or candles because they can be a bit of a let-down. Good to see that they still have a couple that are worthy of the name.
Seems like every firework company out there gets their subpar small items for these assortments from the same two factories in China. Drives me nuts but it is what it is. Just wish it would be cheaper then I wouldn't really complain all that much.
same here, I had one of their wheel fireworks a couple of years ago and it did not work properly, tried to light one of the fuses and it just exploded instead of spinning like it was supposed to.
I'm from England and Black Cat were my favourite fireworks brand for the duration of their fireworks, notably fountains. This pack was great for its size, and the Pop Star was epic for such a small piece
Elite fireworks sell these for the same price. It’s crazy the price difference. I live in Tampa Bay and Phantom dominates this area and their prices are soooo high now. This year we are going to Superior Fireworks. It’s about 3 hours north of me and their prices are way more reasonable. Great video!
Phantom has gotten so bad. They used to give free stuff to premier members like a few 500gram cakes and shells. Now not only is it expensive, now we only get one free fucking shirt lol. I only will grab a few items from there now and instead go to fireworks forever!

If you come across any stuff made by fox fireworks id def recommend trying it. Black cat owns them and I know winco is a supplier for my local black cat tent here in michigan. They have an amazing 100 shot A/B set called sky rave for $100 and its worth every penny

As a kid I was burned by a sparkler now as a 18 year old I'm still scared of them but I absolutely love the popper you throw on the ground and they pop
I got burned by a sparkler as a toddler, was scared of them all the way until this year actually when I finally got brave enough to use a Morning Glory 14 inch sparkler

I wish i had a red apple store near me. I was pleased with their fireworks and the prices where definitely cheaper than my local phantom or skyking and that was with shipping included.

I have gotten Black Cat Roman Candles that shoot a flaming ball, followed by a shooting black cat fire cracker. It was a 10 shot candle and mixed things up.

"Magnum Flasher" sounds like a "B" movie superhero, or an "XXX" movie. Your mileage may vary. "Blue Ice" had nice duration, but some whistle or crackle would have enhanced it. The Cuckoo Fountain was WAY BETTER than I thought it would be! That "SOS" was a comet cake makes sense, as "comets" are kidna like signal flares.

Yeah you DEF have to shop around for best prices, for example here you can go to three of the same companies booths, say Jake's, and all three will have different prices, not on everything but you'll see some stuff that's half the price, and I think I saw that pop star at a small black cat tent here in Oklahoma

There's a tent every year in front of hong kings and horseshoe motel in Altoona Pennsylvania. They were real nice price wise but they mostly had novelty items and fountains. Keystone is right up from there and they have buy one get the same one for 99 cents.

Try their banger candles!! They're an absolutely amazing Roman candle. They pop and have the slightest comet tail.

In germany we have fountains like pop star called funke geysir c. Its the same effect but extremely strong.
