Emotional Surprise Reunion! | Travelling 9,678 km to see my family after 3.5 years

- After 3.5 years unable to travel home to the UK from Tokyo, I finally made it back to reunite with my family!
I travelled 9,678km to surprise my family and this was my dad’s reaction to seeing me for the first time in over 3 years. It was the most touching moment and best reaction I could have asked for! It was an unexpected surprise visit, so he had no idea I was coming, and it was also my Japanese husband’s first time meeting the parents since we got married.

I knew this was coming and yet still I am crying like a baby at this vlog and kiwi excitement to go home, I haven’t seen my family for 6 months and know I will be crying like a baby. Also cheeeese gromit 💕 so happy for you all
I did not know I was capable of such emotional range 😂. I bawled watching it all back too 😭. The cheese definitely helped to stabilise the emotions though haha ❤
@@OshareJapan I cannot imagine how hard it must have been at times and yet at others made you so happy… oh the meal deals. I mean I didn’t buy 3 blocks of UK cheese when I saw some here in the UK for no reason 💕

I’ve been following your videos for ages now but this one I absolutely loved. As you may know I ’m British myself and I plan to visit for the first time in 3 years this September and just like you will meet up with all my family again, so this relay hit me. Loved it.

I have been to Wales but only in Swansea as I stayed in London in September,1994 after I had travelled around so many places in the UK and Ireland. I stayed in B&B in Earl's court,London. I went to Boots the chemist so often. cheers

Your sister s house is surprisingly open planned and spacious, coz i heard Uk has per capita the smallest home space footage in Europe (which makes me feel lucky coming from Oz where we are only rivalled by the US for our McMasion sized houses)

Honestly when I think about some of the boxes I lived in during my uni days in London, the statistic doesn’t surprise me at all haha but the further out of the smoke you get, the better place you get for the price I guess 😆

Nice to see you back at home. Amazing what you miss cheese and sandwiches. Though I was only in UK for 2 years I do miss, English Breakfasts, those huge baked potatoes, ploughman's lunch, pub and snakebite. It was funny to see the departure board and thinking there you go - come to Sydney and visit all your Aussie fans. Have a great stay
Omg don’t even get me started on the size of potatoes 😭💔 haha. It is really funny to realise what I do and don’t miss. I got so excited in the lead up to *finally* making the trip that I started doing hypothetical online grocery shops and made a list of all the snacks we needed to try while we were there 😅 (needless to say we came back with three years worth of food baby weight 🤰🏼😂). Also yes please, Sydney here we come!!

Hello and welcome 😆. For ease of filming, we tend to stick to a limited rotation of clothes and we used the overalls while converting our camping car in Japan, but they're comfy so we still wear them from time to time (especially for long travel!).
