Music is the closest thing to a time machine, and The Midnight is like the best source of energy for such machine. Mesmerizing.

Glad yal found the midnight :) they’re touring again soon, do yourself a favor and see then live, i flew to a different state to see them. 100% worth it. They’re one of the bands that one day will be seen as modern classics
I don't know why, but synthpop always puts me in a positively strange mood, I'm bipolar and that also means that I alternate between joy and sadness, listening to synthwave at night feels like taking a cup of water in the desert,since it regulates my mood, I don't care if the genre is les popular than others, I know one thing, I'll make sure that my children and grand children know about The midnight, Timecop1983, Gunship and all the others.
This album was the soundtrack to my law school experience. I lived alone for most of my 3 years in Des Moines; and I had my fair share of night drives after legal clinic, the gym, or a new love interest.
This music will always represent my time there.

The way I'm so transported now, just listening to those perfect harmonies for the first time, strangely make me feel both confident and doubtful about myself. It gives somekind of high feeling, contemplative mod turns on, and regretful too, somehow. The association with the sax all along, which fit wondefully with such a devilish (or divine Idk) synthwave. Voices too. Awesome. It feels like I'm thrown through space, lost into the void. Is that what a heart attack looks like ? 😶

The Midnight just fucking gets it. Practice can get you far, but the art these people are creating is so much more than just music. What they're doing can't be imitated, it takes more than just practice for this.
My life has only been looking up since I started consuming this art, I've become ecstatic just for the fact that I'm living. The Midnight is THE band. It pains me dearly that their music isn't more widespread. I wish for nothing more than for everyone to hear these masterpieces, to really just revel in the music and the lyrics. I can't recall a single time I've listened to Crystalline without getting goosebumps all over my body.
This isn't just music, it's an experience.
