  • This isn't an April Fool's prank! Two separate 3 train meets are seen in this quick visit to the old Colton Crossing (now just an underpass for the BNSF Cajon Subdivision to cross under the UP's Colton Flyover, along with a yard track crossing at grade) with multiple UP trains (two on the Yuma and one on the Mt Vernon connector track) passing at once, followed by a BNSF westbound passing underneath the stopped UP train, and a Metrolink and UP stacker to add to the mix! This shows beyond a shadow of a doubt why Colton Crossing remains an iconic location! Also featuring a patched SP GP60, one of only a few left on UP's roster. Hard to imagine the channel has been around for long enough that most of the units I used to chase on the former Colton Branch are now in UP yellow or retired.
