Klein Wire Grip Care and Maintenance

Using these following steps provide the basics to properly caring for wire grips used by line workers:
Carefully inspect condition and alignment of jaws, all parts and rivets for proper functionality as well as any possible distortions.
Use a Grip Cleaning Wire Brush Set to clean the grip jaws’ surfaces.
Spray degreaser on the grip jaws, all joints, moving parts and between each rivet.
Wipe the grip clean with a soft, dry cloth.
Repeat entire process as necessary until it is completely clean.
Apply lubricant to all joints and moving parts, being careful NOT to lubricate gripping surfaces or jaws.

Hello i have one problem.
I have one wire grip 1ton (2.5-16mm). And i try on my farm tension one wire rope 6mm and this slip on wire grip. How work? What wrong? Wire rope cant stay on wire grip.

Hi Alexandros, there could be a number of factors affecting a grips performance including material type being tensioned and if the grip is designed for it, the pulling tension, the condition of the jaws, surface contamination of jaws or wire.
