very surprised to hear the suggestion that Richard's acting in Baby Reindeer wasn't one of the viewers main take aways, yes definitely Jessica's was talked about more as Martha is such a complex character but I definitely think people were impressed with Richard's performance too. I think people are impressed with it in particular because when you hear someone is acting as themselves you go into it thinking it's just gimmick that could harm the quality of a show just to have to have that 'novelty', but his performance never feels like that as he plays it so well/so nuanced

100% have to agree with the comments here. most people watching baby reindeer are coming out of it talking about both richard gadd and jessica gunning esp since the show is based on his own life experience. i finished ripley and also agree that it was wayyyyyyyy too slow i only stuck around for the acting and directing/cinematography and a lot of voters might feel the same. hate to say it but i think you're anti-predicting baby reindeer chris. and i also second that the traitors s2 was way better than s1 i agree with the commenter who said that whoever told Joyce otherwise was off base
Excuse you, Christopher, I left Baby Reindeer talking about Richard Gadd's performance. Especially after episode 6. I didn't even finish Ripley, it was so boring. What is with all this anti-Baby Reindeer bias? The show is brilliant.
As I mentioned in the episode, it wasn't my favorite show so I readily admitted that it was going to cloud my predictions here. But I do think the acting race is much closer than it might appear because of the industry's response to Ripley and Scott as a performer.
