I have made this Matar Ke Chole in pressure cooker which makes this recipe quick and easy.
Matar Ke Chole recipe or Sukhe matar ki sabji
I have shown how to make Peas Curry. Matar Ke Chole is very famous in UP and Bihar, in Maharashtra Matar Ke Chole is also known as Ragda in Maharashtra. This Sukhe Matar Ki Sabzi (Dry Peas Curry) by Petuk Maharaja is very easy to follow and requires very less ingredients.
Preparation time - 30 minutes
serving-4
Ingredients:
Dry peas/white peas-250 gm
(Soaked it for 6-8 hrs or overnight)
Onion(chopped)-2(large)
Tomato-1 (large)
Ginger - 1 inch
Green chilli - 3 to 4
Garlic - (paste/grated)-1 tbsp
Roasted cumin powder-1 tsp
Coriander powder- 1 tsp
red chilli powder - 1tsp
Dry red chilli-2
Bay leaves-2
green cardamom - 2 to 3
cinnamon stick - 1or 2
Cooking oil-3 tbsp
Cumin seeds-1/2 tsp
Red chilli powder-1 tsp
Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
Salt as per taste or 1.5 tsp
black salt - ⅓ tsp
kasuri methi - 1 tbsp
Coriander leaves-1/4 cup
