    Me and PVC are buddies...most durable invention ever!!!Excellent build especially for it to be collapsable. How long does the pump last? Anyway to reverse pump the water to a sink?

    I actually saw this same design somewhere else...and MADE IT!!!..
    I am a Primitive Glamper ( oxymoron) with a 3 room Swiss Gear tent...this shower was kept in back room along with porta potty and sm dressing table (I'm a girl : ) only I went the "heated" water and rain shower head..watering can for water application.. Lol...point is I LOVE MY CAMP SHOWER...and other campers are AMAZED!!

    Our 18' rv does not have a shower. I was going to do something different but not now. This is a great idea. I purchased a Chapin 1.5 L /51oz portable hand sprayer from Lowes today for a little over $5.00 which I will be trying tonight. It is amazing of how little water can be used for shower. I noticed the reason I use so much in our home is because it is so enjoyable for the water to run over you. In 2006 we went from a 3,000 sq. ft house to a 39ft fifth wheel full time for 3 yrs. We loved it. In two weeks we will start our part time journeys in our 1992 Roadtrek. Looking so forward to it.

    I work and a hot shower when I get home is so soothing. I t accrued to me today , what would be the top 3 things Id really need in a grid down situation to make it more bearable, and yep you guessed it a portable shower. So many people talk about first aid and food and even water but how many realize if the grid went down a hot or even warm shower would be so important for the mind! Great idea sir thank you so much!

    Nice setup, I got me a used coleman Hot Water on Demand and I used this past july during our camping trip, I bought a portable 'shower tent' and I used it with two 5 gallons buckets and We were able to get really warm/hot showers while camping. It took me almost a year to find the Coleman HWOD on offer up.

    Great use of normal items that are easy to find and assemble. The idea of keeping this all contained is a great idea. How about using old coolers? Some coolers have spikkets on the bottom for easy drainage and some coolers have wheels on them for easy roll out of the room.

    I should add...for CAMPING purposes...do NOT glue PVC together...for easy tear down... throw away shower curtains they are a buck apiece at Dollar Store and you don't want a wet, drippy, mildew mess...all other pieces can be stored in container ( rings, pvc fittings, outer fabric shower curtain, bath mat, body wash/shampoo and watering can : )...tape PVC poles together and your ready for next trip!

    • @StreetArtillery
      @StreetArtillery 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sheila Outside!! Bad for the environment to throw away a shower curtain every time I shower. It's better to re-use it. An environmental friendly paper towel can easily soak up dry a shower curtain

    • @oldtimerlee8820
      @oldtimerlee8820 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@hanb.4726 I thought the same thing. Just remove the bottom of the curtain from the tote and let it hang straight till dry. Only takes a short bit of time during hot weather. Can't imagine many folks doing this in COLD weather. No way I'd spend a buck a shower for a throw away curtain. That's expensive over the long haul.

    hula hoop, shower curtains, I had an outdoor shower when I had my Toyota Dolphin. At 6' 6", I found my reaction to the on board shower somewhat claustrophobic. I just got an outside shower head, Shower Massage by Water Pik! and ran the hose out my kitchen window.
    I miss those days, and want them back!

    I use my Coleman Hot water-on-demand system to fill my 4.7 gallon Big Kahuna portable shower with warm water outside my 5x10 cargo trailer, then I use it indoors to shower using a very similar setup as Kevin. The Big Kahuna has a better shower head with a variable flow handheld push switch. Solved my problem and no carbon monoxide poisoning.

    I place a coffee urn high up over the storage ben. I remove the filter. After putting not too much water inside. I plug to heat... If too hot, I add cold water. I unplug the plug to take shower. The fauset of urn is small. I turn it off a number of times, while scrubbing. I make sure I wash behind the ears. (Even in the shower, I do stand-up dry humor) The running water is very focused, I'm not sure if I need the curtain, especially if I use a large storage ben.

    Oh boy I love this idea I am 56 yrs old and i I am handicapped and I can't walk up the stairs to take a shower so I've been bathing out of a small bathroom sink for a year now, due to I have an enlarged heart wich the inner chamber doesn't pump the blood threw my heart ( like a normal persons ) and because of this condition it makes me have a hard time breathing so I am on oxygen because I can't breath and I have very bad knees and one of them doesn't bend at all not at all is all I know I sure am in need of something to take a shower and something like this would be GREAT But I do want to say what a great idea this is to bad my family couldn't make me one but they don't like doing anything for me and that's sad I wish you or I could find someone to come to my home and make me one. And of coures I would pay you and for the parts

    From my own grey matter, and not having seen your vid, I have already designed and created a detachable 4 piece PVC pipe version for use outdoors, which simply drops onto two hooks on the side of Campervans and other Recreational Vehicles and uses two extendable aluminium tent poles with guy ropes and ground pegs to hold it up to the correct height. I just lerve PVC pipes....wish I could eat them !
    Just a tip for newbies to this creative pastime genre.....when you visit the hardware store to get your PVC pipes, BE SURE TO look in BOTH the Plumbing and the Electrical Conduit sections where you will learn about an even greater variety of interchangeable PVC fittings you can use for many design projects. You will end up being a PVC piping afficionado in the LEGO Style !

    Well...I have to say it was a bit unnerving to see you in the shower with a cap on at the beginning of this video but I toughed it out and it turned out to be very informative. I need to make a prefab portable shower for my mother who contracted Covid with underlying health issues and was hospitalized. Several times she was close to exiting this world but as the miracle example that she beat the odds, she has survived and will be coming to my house for in-home care. My partner (a guy cause my religion does not believe in the alternative sexual orientation lifestyle and neither do I) has a house that only has a 1/2 bath downstairs. I can modify your shower to be wheelchair assessible and hook up to the kitchen sink. Thank you for doing this video. God Bless you and the USA!

      There is a 5 gal bladder or you can connect a hose to a water source. You can turn on and off the stream to conserve water.
