This video should be more visited and promoted. Suicide and mental illness are something we have to take serious and never let that persone alone or block him/her because of being "drama" or "toxic". Those words made me feel so down and specially when it comes to the girl you love and your flatmate. Always help and take care of someone who opens.

Suicide and mental illness doesn’t make you not a good kid. The mom’s comment that “she couldn’t believe he did what he did because he was a good kid…” mental illness is not a moral or value judgment and doesn’t change your character. It is just an added burden people deal with. I wish she could know that.

There is a genetic component with suicide. Just as there is a genetic component to cancer. There are environmental triggers that cause cancer, there can be environmental triggers for suicide. There needs to be a change in the conditioning, in the beliefs we adopt and then try to achieve. The belief of the Fairytale life. The fairytale Lover/Spouse. The perfect career. Etc., etc, all are lies. That if we just do X/Y/Z we can live the dream. But thats not real life, but thats what we are fed by Society and our Community and our Teachers. The message is; YOU are not enough (as you are).
Your absolutely right. We are fed with this unrealistic image of how life should be. And then we as individuals look at our life and feel like we failed and like you said we were and are not good enough. It sounds corny but we need to accept us how we are and be thankful for what we have and not drive ourselves crazy on what is missing. But that's easier said then done.

It's one of the most gut wrenching feeling to know they ended their life! God Bless all of us who have experienced someone who has taken their life! Always remember someone is a phone call away and there is someone always thinking of you. My boyfriend took his life 2016.

What's sad is teens have no idea how everything changes and gets better. I've seen a few recent posts where people are crying out for help and state they want to just end it all. This is what I told my own subscribers. Four reasons you don't end it. 1) things can change. The caveat here is you have to make them change and that takes work. 2) You will regret it. They interviewed a man who managed to jump the San Francisco Bridge and didn't even break a bone. He said the last thought he had as he stepped off----he knew it was a huge mistake. 3) You will hurt those you leave behind. How many wish the one they knew who killed themselves had come to them first? 4) It is a slap in the face to all those who didn't want to die early and did--whether disease or event. Folks, I have felt like this twice in my life and both times years later I was glad I put that thought away as I would not have experienced all the things I did. The answer isn't to end your life--it is to fix your life. Now go be GREAT-----Charles.

The best way ever for teens to overcome their problems is to tell their parents. And there's a lot of people who care and want to help. Many will.
And many parents won't help. They will place their children into the hands of those who will do even more harm, like ministers or other organizations.

Agree, one’s teenage years are chaotic and most think it will last forever but it doesn’t. My teen years seem like another life at this point
