    For anyone watching this make sure you turn the key with the spring in one turn or force so as to make the spring stronger.

      Good point, you have to wind up the spring 1 turn or it will not flip open.

    Thanks man I just got a used 500 and the Fob looks like it survived a fire. Ordered the new one on ebay. Now we must wait.

    Very helpful video. Thank you mate. I spent a little bit more and cut the new key blade as well.

    I used a blunt Stanley knife to carefully pry apart the inner clips so the inside shell comes apart, was much faster than using a screwdriver as shown, apart from that thanks for the video for showing how it all comes apart.

    Very helpful video, thanks. I managed to fix the non-working door opening button on my Abarth Grande Punto keyfob; a PCB track had been broken, where the battery terminal swings into the casing (a rather poor design).

    In case your key doesn't close fully, you need to replace the big tear-shaped piece at the end of the key, also. To do this, you need to remove the pin connecting the piece with the actual key. To do this, you need a metal rod and a hammer. Make sure to not lose the pin, as you will need it for the replacement.

    the most important part is the spring of the blade . once u put that on below the blade and then lock it in place ( the blade ) , u have to turn one turn with the cover ( after inserting the other spring from the top ) , correct ?
    there were two springs in each key , correct ?

    • @XayalTV
      @XayalTV  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, that’s correct

      Mine only closes with the button. It does not open with the button, what did I do wrong? Author never shows the right way during that step…

    Where is the immo chip? In the plastic? In the PCB (one of the IC's)?

    You don't need to dismantle the metal key portion from the spring component.if you look thete is a small roll pin that holds the key blank to the mechanism.if you drift this out and also on your original key,just swap them over,redraft in the little pin and bobs your uncle.use a thin panel pin to knock the roll pin out.

      Magic! I had just been wondering about this. I was a bit concerned about the pin then being loosened although it looks as though one side of the pin may be slightly wider than the other but it may be a trick of the eye? Thanks for this tip ☝🏼💖🐥✨

    Is there a time limit (disconnect the rest of they from the battery) which I have to look for? For example, after 10, 15 or xx minutes they will lose the programming?

    • @XayalTV
      @XayalTV  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      There is no time frame for this

    • @BlatentlyFakeName

      There is a chip in the old key fob built into the plastic which is for the emobilizer on your vehicle . I bought one of these and found I had to put it back in my old one .

    This video is not good. You need to do few extra things for the spring to work correctly and you need to move the key code into new case

    I really want to know if it worked after prising out the circuit board with that lil micro flathead screwdriver?
    I’m looking at doing this myself but was thinking that a plastic modelling tool may be a safer bet for that part of the process …🙄❤️‍🩹💭🐥✨
