  • After 9 years of talking about it, we finally were able to save enough to go to one of our "bucket list" destinations: JADE MOUNTAIN, St. Lucia.
    This video explains our journey and experience of one of the most unique destinations you could ever experience.
    I hope you enjoy the video. If you have any question, please feel free to ask.

    Saving $20 a day is the smartest decision I've ever seen in years. This video is a great motivation to everyone. If want something, you plan it out and make it happen. Nothing is impossible.

    LOL from 2min 45sec "stupid bird" LOL so funny loooo. This had got to be the best video I have seen on Jade mountain. Great capture, story telling, info and editing. I love it in St Lucia and have spent a total of 5 months and 2 weeks there. I loved Anse chastnet hotel and would like to do Jade mountain Next. The second time I visited in 1995, I spent at a private guest house in Reduit/Splash beach. Subscribed

    You both looked like you enjoyed every second of the trip. Just from watching this entire video you both appeared present with every moment Jade Mountain had to offer. Thank you for sharing & I'm glad you both had the chance to enjoy that experience.

    Nice video. I enjoyed Anse Chastnet Hotel way back in 1993. St Lucia has completely changed. I prefer the beauty of St Lucia by far 29 years ago. I visited again in 1995 and really enjoyed. Stayed at a private guest house

    You guys did amazing with this video! We just got back from our second Jade Mountain vacation a week or so ago! We stayed in JC5 which is a Sun Sanctuary this time. Last year we stayed in JB5 which is a Moon. We absolutely love the resort! We did the private cruise as well and I posted a video of it too. I haven’t done the resort video yet. We arrived by helicopter both last year and this and it’s a very cool experience! I posted that video too. Hope you guys get to go again and happy anniversary!

    did you have any issues with insects or other animals making their way into your room since it is wide open?

      Theres a Mosquito net on the beds

    • @life107familyfitnessboxing8
      @life107familyfitnessboxing8 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      As soon as you land in St Lucia you agree to share your life during your vacation with insects. The beds have mosquito nets but of course, insects will pay you a visit, if you have enclosed walls or open space like Jade mountain. No matter what way you look at it, you will be dancing with insects throughout you vacation LOL LOOOOOOO. I spent 5 months dancing with insects. No matter what insect repellents I used, they still bit me.

      @toddstanton3284 ปีที่แล้ว

      Despite what the comment said below, we had ZERO issues with bugs. It was a concern to us as well, but the mosquito nets were not really needed, but we used them anyways. There were small little tiny insects on the floor at times near the landing. But nothing that bothered us.

    I am going next june and having trouble deciding between requesting JE1 or JD1. Can you give any insights? Are people in the restaurant and top terrace above able to view you in your infinity pool? And were you able to see down and see any part of the room below you?

    • @toddstanton3284
      @toddstanton3284 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry. Just seeing this now. Our room was the best one they offer. I figured if were gonna do this, do it big. No, no one can see you in the infinity pool unless you are at the extreme outer edge. We could see the outer edges of pools below us, but you have to really stretch. For the most part, its completely private.

      @@toddstanton3284 Hey There! Thank you! I went and stayed, but ended up in JD1 which was nice, but have a repeat trip booked. In the picture at 6:01 it appears as though you are standing in a public area and I can see the pool for JE1 and well as the column in the room. Were you able to see walkways that people were walking on at all? The trip was super nice. Sad I have to wait so long to go back.

      @@lauramckenzie3801 that photo is from the common area walkways. You see very little bits of the pools. Everything is very private.

    How where the mosquitoes and how was it sleeping in heat?

    • @toddstanton3284
      @toddstanton3284 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry for the delay. The mosquitoes were not bad at all. I dont even remember once swatting at one. Birds eating our food (as seen in the video) were really the only annoyance. 🙂
